Ok, so I created a greasemonkey script which will show a user's anime compability (and gender) next each username (UPDATE: and much much more by now). Great for finding users with a high anime compability, for simply knowing who you're talking with on the forums, to find a valuable/suitable review, UPDATE or using the recently added compscore you can even predict how well you will like an anime., etc. You can download it from http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/56162 (you will need to have greasemonkey(firefox add on) or opera installed to use it) |

| I wonder how much stress this will put on the server with numerous people running it. Does it cache information from names that have been previously polled, or recheck every time? This kind of feature was previously disabled due to server load, and I'm sure it was more efficient than this script can manage. |

| TIP: Goto the forums homepage and wait till its fully loaded, next hit ctrl-f (or command-f) and type in "[9" (without the quotes). If you're lucky you will find somebody with an anime compability over 90%, as that page lists all online forum users (I found somebody with an animecompability of 90.3%). Another good place to search for highly compatible people is any anime you really like and next open the stats page, then scroll down and to the right there is a link 'all members' which will show all people who rated the anime a 10 and chances are higher compatible people will be there. Oh, and about server load, there are two sides here, first of all, it decreases server load partially due to the fact that I would sometimes go compability hunting meaning I would open up to 200 profiles (including images and other non-ligh and non-ascii data) which is heavier then probably 2000 html only profiles. Secondly it will only support the suggestion I did ages ago to create a rainbow like system to find highly compatible users highly decreasing server load, but my suggestion was nearly entirely ignored so one could see this as my small protest (the whole development of mal.net has become passive... craveonline should hire another programmer, finish of the details of mal.net and ensure mal.net becomes the #1 source for anime). |

| @manami-chin: Chrome: http://lifehacker.com/5180010/enable-user-scripts-in-google-chrome (That's what you get for using an unfinished browser :P despite running nightly builts myself quite often). Aside of that its not to weird that if you want to have customization that you will use a browser built around the idea of customization and that if you like minimalism that you will use a minimalistic browser like chrome. Oh, and safari users can use creammonkey I believe, so they are fine as well. |

| GreatS: Thanks a lot! I've tried to do everything that that site sugested but I failed :( But i saw an article that chrome will enable scripts soon or something.. You're right, I prefer chrome because the minimalism style, but also because it's the 2 faster browser, so.. Anyway if you could just tell me we're do I find the Google Chrome shortcut to do this: The last step is to modify the Google Chrome shortcut—or any Chrome "application" shortcuts—to include the --enable-user-scripts switch after the executable path. thanks a lot anyway |
