Were some people really surprised by Kanbaru being a lesbian?
I mean Senjogahara even said so in the last episode! >_<

What surprised me more so was that she is such a prev!
Oh and the whole rainy devil thing too.....
Also for some reason I thought Shinobu and the donuts was pretty funny. ^_^
lol Now that I think about it she had a donut box beside her in the first episode didn't she?

I think only those who don't really pay attention were surprised : p
Also, I didn't think there were more than maybe a select few who noticed the donut box in the first episode : p At least it's great to see that I'm not the only one : D

Great episode.. Needed more Senjougahara but still a great episode!

Bakemonogatari manages to make me laugh yet again. The whole conversation between Kanbaru and Araragi was HILARIOUS. Especially THIS part:

Kanbaru: If you want, I'll be the uke to your seme anywhere, anytime.
Araragi: Seme?! Uke?!? Why do I have to want that?!?!!

Oh my god, I ROTFLMAOed so much.

The "I'm into yuri!" & "THAT'S THE SAME THING!!" part was friggin' funny too. xDDD
And the whole scene with both of them cleaning up the room, with Araragi and Kanbaru both flinging the books around was so weird, random and cheesy, but gosh it was funny.

I pause a lot watching things on the computer period.
Partially because I want to see everything, and partially because I have intensely fickle moods that change quickly and I get bored easily, even with anime.

I finished the last episode in the matter of a week or so. This I finished in the matter of an hour or two at most. It was very fun and I was a lot more engaged that I was on last episode. Surely because I like Suruga better than Senjougahara. And the energy that she brings to the show.

I'm glad that I get at least one more episode of her in this arc. And hopefully it'll me more like this episode and less like the last one, if you know what I mean.

Even the naming of Suruga Kanbaru is awesome on it's own. Loved the bondage picture even if I'd seen them several times before in SZS.

I thought it was an ok episode. There was something about the first 5 minutes that bothered me. And it seems that the second arc episode is a bit of a weakness for Shaft because I remember thinking the same after Mayoi's second episod. But once Araragi imagined cleaning up Sugura's room, it started to pick up.

According to the fangirls in the Aoi Hana thread, "lesbian" is a word that isn't often (if at all) used for characters as identification. So apparently this is the second show this season to do that.

Anyways...as everyone else has said, the sd stuff was hilarious. I kind of like Suruga. Of course she is kind of like Senjougahara--she idolized and wanted to be with her...so the lesbian, lack of violence, yet extra flirty nature of her is a fun comparison to Hitagi. I'm sure this isn't how she would act in front of her though. I'm sure she would seem more like any other annoying, obsessive underclassmen.

That was amazing! Very, very entertaining. Too bad they broke the whole reason down entirely. I would've liked it to be left with a bit of unclear elements. Loved this episode, Shaft being Shaft is always mind candy. I hope it continues like this.

We'll probably get it next episode. I also want to see whatever was in gg's commercial release. Cencoroll? That's a song on the Bakemonogatari ED album?

Just thought I'd confirm it, yep it's on the that single album, and yep it's called Cencoroll, and yep it came out.. yesterday. And yup, it's on my plan to watch list : D

Of course it was already obvious Kanbaru was homosexual though I have to admit I wasn't sure she would be so honest about it. I thought it was a good thing that she was so direct, but her rather exaggerated enthusiasm and apparent will to shock Araragi seem to indicate that she is in a tremendous amount of pain and struggling to hide it.
After viewing the first episode, I did not like Kanbaru because she seemed dishonest and liked her even less when I thought she was willingly attacking Araragi out of jealousy. I am glad to see that she is a rather kind, sensitive girl despite being somewhat weak and obssesive. I did not expect to warm up to her but I am glad I have. It makes me sad, though, to see her try too hard to seem cheerful and open about her sexual impulses cos' it reminds me of actual people I've met who have been through hell to become like that..
The fact that she was not perfectly conscious during the attack makes everything more interesting, of course. Bakemonogatari has always used (so far) monsters, oddities and such as symbols. This devil hand is as interesting as the crab and the snail were. Can't wait for the next episode!

That was actually one of the few times I kind of liked her : D

Oh well anyway, Senjougahara for President !
