Narutaru. Disturbing on so many levels. And don't even get me started on what happens after the conclusion of the anime. The only thing more disturbing I've seen was School Days (and no, not disturbing in the sense that it was terrible and I hated it). |

yea my vote is for narutaru as well i loved how it started like a kids show (go watch the opening and honestly tell me you thought otherwise) and then it just gets darker and dark till the epic test tube part. and yea mawootad is right about how much further the manga goes on the levels of disturbing |

I don't find them that disturbing too, but the things some of them made me think really made me more disturbed. Especially Lain. Now I want to see Narutaru... but I'm going to finish GITS first. |

The End of Evangelion. I felt brain-damaged for a week after seeing it. |

The End of Evangelion. One of, if not the most disturbing film I have ever seen, hands-down. |

I'd say Texhnolyze, mostly becase of its eerie atmosphere and dark story. Some of the episodes made me really depressed, still it's one of my favorite anime series. |

Texhnolyze, I mean honestly, the whole thing within itself just screams disturbed, from the moment the girl plays with his eyes because they're a different color from all the rest to when he starts a war basically because he's pissed off, the whole series just screamed strange and it seriously bothered me for a long time afterward. Especially the part when they go to the surface hoping to find people who haven't quite given up on life. End of Evangelion would get my second vote if I could vote twice, the first five times I watched it I didn't really fully understand the whole thing but when I watched it the sixth time, everything clicked and I was in tears. It was a beautiful madness, or a wonderful sanity, maybe both I'm not really sure. But it also truly bothered me for a good long while afterward. Still though, not quite as high as Texhnolyze. And SE Lain just didn't do it for me. I did like 'god' though, that part was what really interested me. Maybe I would've liked it more if I had watched it before I watched Texhnolyze but Texhnolyze was so much better in my opinion that when I watched Lain I felt somewhat let down. |
