RENAA <3 Hauu~ Omochikaeri! I think the story part of this OVA was too short, or let's say it ended too abruptly, but this episode made it up with comedy. |

I'm kinda sad the OVAs ended :( Though they definitely didn't give the 'Higurashi-feel' that I expected, I liked them anyway :) They weren't the best, but they were better than Nekogoroshi-hen IMO. And I kind of liked that they ended them with a comedy episode with lots of Rena (I missed her 'omochikaaeri'-s and 'uso da!'-s). Modified by asd987, 08-20-09, 1:42 PM |

After the amount of fail that the three earlier episodes of this OVA series turned out to be, I actually really liked the final OVA. It's not as crazy and random as the first episode of the OVA series but it was just as fun. Tomitake getting defeated by Staoko's firecrackers/works was pretty damn hilarious. Guess he's not as invincible as the first OVA made him out to be. Also, epic lulz to the overuse of Rena's "Usoda" moments. I think they had one moment every three minutes or so. Only complaint is that there was epic underuse of Shion in this episode, and the other ones actually (save for the first OVA). Why have her even in the marketing for the OVAs if you're only going to use her in about 2 minutes of footage in the first OVA? All I have to say is that if they ever do a fourth season, they better pick some much more superior Higurashi arcs to adapt. The main ones may have been completed, but there are still arcs from some of the games and manga left over. |
