Kaze no stigma was a good anime in my opinion.

Yamato Takahiro, rest in peace.

Actually, there was a really great article about this (incomplete works) where the writer interviewed a lot of authors, famous and amateur. Pretty much the consensus is, yes, it's much better to pass away after completing the works. I mean, of course everyone would rather not pass away at all, but if it had to come, it would be preferable after a series/work is complete.

So yes, that IS preferable for both the readers and the authors.

Just sayin' , but we all die someday , only , Id be pretty pissed if I died without being able to complete something I started.
It's not just about the readers , im sure the author in his last days was cursing the fact that he was not able to finish it.

it marks as the year of dead stars. a lot of very well known high fame people have died this year. most notably Michael Jackson etc...

i watched Kaze no Stigma a while back. it was good and seems it needed a sequel. i guess now that might not be possible.

unfortunately, death does not have good timing. the fact that anyone would even ask the question is absurd to me.

Sad news. Even more for all those who will never read the end of Kaze no Stigma novel.

May Yamato Takahiro rest in peace.

The Year of Dead Stars, that sounded so much like Forgotten Realms year....

I am not sure if there will be enough material to do a second season, as the author stopped writing in 2005 (only release short stories since then), but I doubt people will want to adapt something that will be left unfinished....

Im the kind that likes to finish something in one long run, so Im very surprised at this news.

"May he rest in peace and inspire others to follow in his steps. Steps we all must take, but few travel."

You know..... about finishing it... they [anime producers/directors] have taken literary license before and changed an entire anime. I dont think following the natural chain of events and creating an ending is that far fetched.....

Im sure you guys/gals can name a few anime/manga/novels that were made this way. I take it anime more so, than the other two genres. But still... it would be nice to have a bit of closure. Even if he [the original writer] didnt get to finish it, then at least his work could be completed in his memory.

The anime version is butchered and raped as it is already, there's no need for some suck-ass anime-original ending to be created.

If that was done, even the novel author himself would come back from the grave to slaughter entire production team.

Man that sucks. I really liked this story. Alot of people call it bland and generic, but I couldn't see anything bland and generic about it. Especially from the way it was played out.

RIP I guess. Hopefully someone like a friend continues it or something. Though that was supposed to happen with Trinity Blood and I don't think it has.

Yeah, I'm hoping someone can continue it as well. I wanted to see more of Kaze No Stigma. It's so sad that he died, I feel bad for him and his family. But I hope they can finish it some how.

This used to be my favorite action/romance. It's sad to know I'll never get a proper ending for this series. I wouldn't want a crappy ending/not intended ending for this series, for it would ruin it for me. If they could find a proper ending situation from what the author already wrote, I'd MAYBE be ok with that.
