Awesome, the real/original OP song was played.
Lol @ the dog this episode. Based on previous experiences, I originally thought it might of been an alien too. Ah the feels this episode. I guess cats (Meow) and dogs don't get along too well. Dat feels this episode ;___;
"QT" was awesome this episode. I mean, it's not QT but still. So much Dandy service my eyes~
Awesome, they now have the OP in the dub.
Looks like we have a dog in this episode, and those two twins got me a little bit worried, and I don't see how pup is anymore unique than meow. Damn, and now pup is gone ;_; (Just when I thought that she was going to join the crew). Looks like those twins are actually fleas (Le flea xD). And Dr. Gel once again shows his poor luck in trying to capture Dandy (He's actually pretty impressive at screwing up lol)
Oh shit the opening. Bout time we got this. Love the song. Good episode. Poor pup. Best dog ever. Dandy is so real. "Say what they will about me. But I can always spot a bitch." Was not expecting him to say that. Dat ass. So the monkey died. Don't care. Wonder when we'll get the ed.
This is my reply on this forum, despite browsing it for years, still gotta get an avatar when i got time. Anyways, I like the show, not the best episode, but maybe, hoping at least at least- that the show may start some sort of arc. It's probably a red herring, but it would be nice. Love that they finally got the actually OP instead of those cuts from the music video( I guess, saw it somewhere) to that song. Like someone said, reminded me of that Cowboy Bebop episode.
Oh gawd, the FEELS in this episode! What made me happy was the use of the original OP for the dubs. And what made me LOL is the moment the ape guy chased Dandy at the same time he was escaping a black hole!
This episode was pretty sub-par, IMO. They started with the premise of meeting a dog, having Dandy play fetch with it for a bit, but then having it inexplicably die and then trying to get an emotional response out of the probably ten minutes of screen time it got? Paying homage to Laika is cool and all, but that aspect felt too rushed to really leave an impression on me. Let's not even talk about her unexplained arrival on the planet, or how long she'd actually been there to suffer starvation or illness of whatever killed her, causing Pup to pass away hours after Dandy's arrival.
Then the fleas were a concept with potential of their own, also wasted on a pair of gags about dying like insects, paired with sudden relevance to the planet which somehow needed them to remain in existence. All in all this wasn't particularly funny, moving or memorable in any way. I really hope next week's is better.
The fridge looks like a Bebop reference to the "Toys in the Attic" episode.
Say what you will about me, I can always spot a bitch.
Math is hard.
Are you tired, Precious Upside-Down Coconut Pie?
QT's straight man is wonderful.
The coolest hat that ever lived. Man, this shot is great.
Aww…even the narrator was getting in on the feels. OMG QT's EYES JUST TURNED INTO @'s.
Even microscopic aliens can't handle the pussy.
WHEN QT ATTACKS!
Not just any old flea, Le Flea!
Uh-oh, trouble is afoot. I always wanted to die by extreme sucking! So much to live for.
Give me some of those sick beats.
Yeah, this dub is still coming out on top.
Anyways, I like the show, not the best episode, but maybe, hoping at least at least- that the show may start some sort of arc.
Honestly, the best part about this show is seeing these silly expectations every single week.
I thought the preview looked kind of Yuasa and sure enough, the next episode director worked on Kaiba, Kick Heart, Kemonozume and Tatami Galaxy. I think I'm gonna like this one.
“If it were a third-rate TV anime, a dead protagonist can come back to life at the producers’ convenience. But the world we live in is not such a convenient place. Lost lives will never return. Because of it, we live in a world where a life is an irreplaceable existence.”
