| It's started nicely. Art looks good and the ending has a pagan feeling to it that suits the plot well A sidenote for the Ayako subs, church neither claims people with strange defects as possessed by demons, nor kill them in the name of God. That's how it used to be in the XV century, not nowadays. |
| Eh, I didn't really care for this. I did like the feudal setting and the concept of a "god" no longer being needed by man. Its pretty interesting. I'll have to watch a few more episodes. Also I watched the Eng dub, and felt that there wasn't really any chemistry with Holo and Lawrence, it sounded awkward. I'll have to try the sub too. |

| I watched the dub version, since I prefer to dubs when ever possible but I might just switch to the sub before I watch the second season. I saw a lot of hype about this anime and its one of the reasons I decided to watch it. It seems interesting, and I like the time era that they have chosen. Holo reminds me of CC and maybe that the primary reason I'm watching this. She is adorable. It seems like Lawrance is not oblivious but I would have hit that girl that was clearly throwing herself at him. |
| I really liked the opening and closing songs and animations. The episode was good as far as first episodes go. The festival themes were interesting; the ones that were shown anyway. Can't say much for characters or story yet. |

| ... I liked it. :> I didn't really know what to expect after reading the synopsis, but it was unexpectedly good. I'm not a big fan of the art style at the moment, but I can see it growing on me. The concept was interesting and the characters are immediately likable. :D I'll keep watching, as many others have done~ |

| I've read the first few light novels, so it's taking me all that I have not to compare the anime to them, but even with the differences, I'm enjoying it. Horo's character is going to be so enjoyable. And screw everyone, I went and listened to the ED, like, four times. I thought it was cute. |

| I really like how the anime added Cloe. In fact, I feel the anime handled the beginning of the story better than the light novel and the manga. Holo is also one of the best characters I seen in anime, she has genuine wit. |
mp said: haha this was better than i expected, i also like the fact that alot of the VA are the same from C.G :P lawrence has the same va as lulu, chloe has the same as nunnaly and horo has the same as kallen xD though horo reminds me of C.C a bit :] Just finished C.G and I still find it weird for these VA to voice act another role :P Coincidentally, I'm in the same position. But Fukuyama Jun and Koshimizu Ami are acting their roles very differently, as they should be (and I do agree that Holo is much closer to C.C. than Kallen). |

| Interesting start of this anime the concept and story behind this first episode was quite interesting, I do think this could be a promising story in the long run if they play it good and have a good strong story line that has a decent plot at the end. Either way nice start of this first season of Spice and Wolf let's see what these next 12 episodes will bring us! |

| Put this off for a while, WHILE in my plan to watch list. Honestly I didn't know what to expect from this anime Although I am glad that the male lead is a bit older and mature. And that they didn't do the typical fanservice/ecchi crap they usually do in this type of anime. And typical how? Well young ordinary boy encounters Extraordinary young female whom clings on to him and they begin their adventures. And for a genre change, to umm harem for example, it's the same, they just add more females. :/blah. anyways for that I am glad that it wasn't like those. Horo seems interesting and mysterious. And that other girl,forgot her name, what will become of her?? It seemed serious how they went to get her at the warehouse. And spice and wolf? She is the wolf, who is the spice? The other girl? Her hair is red, and she has her moments, so she would be more befitting of that title. But anyways maybe they just wanted to add spice to the title and it has nothing to do with the story. Anyways whatever, I will give the 2nd ep a try. 1st ep didn't impress me or anything, was kinda slow and didn't show any plot paths or anything. |

| Great first episode. I'm looking forward to the character interactions between Lawrence and Horo. NOT looking forward to the midevil time economics talk. Maoyuu Maou Yuusha really was boring and poorly executed, this will be better. |
