Since we have yet to start a discussion, I'll do it. What's your favorite SRT game? Mine would be W, since it really shows how the Genesic GaoGaiGar is.

Is this club only for SRT or all SRW-games? Because i'm only played SRW alpha and alpha gaiden.

SRT stands for Super Robot Taisen, which basically just means Super Robot Wars. There's really no difference, it's just that I prefer to call it SRT. So basically, this club is for every SRW game out there.

Heh... It's rare to find someone that actually played GC. Unfortunately, being an internet pirate, I haven't been able to play GC, unless someone can find me a torrent for an irl Gamecube. :(

You're honestly not missing much. It's a pretty disapointing game. I'll give it credit though for having a decent UC series selection, all of the J9 trilogy and the option to steal units.

And I guess Raijin Oh and Daiojah are pretty neat too.

Probably W or MX.

W has Astray, Tekkaman Blade/Blade II, and the best rendition of GGG in the series.

MX has Dragonar, the best usage of Evangelion in the series, and RahXephon.

OGG was pretty fun. The Shura rocked.

Yeah. My only problems with OGG is how short it was and the difficulty. Some levels were pretty hard, but most were easy. Too many overpowered units on your team. Apotheosized Yaldabout, Alfimi's mech, Soulgain, and so many others. You got so many awesome units near the end there, that I didnt even deploy the Alt on some levels. Blasphemy.

Also, GanDuro's armor stat was just horrible. Yuuki and Carla's units got more armor than it. How can that even be? GanDuro is like pure armor.

Cant wait for what Banpresto will do for the series though.

Ugh... The Evangelion units were crap in the game. Sure they have that broken AT Field, but just about every unit that you got in the game was broken. The only EVA unit worth using was Suzuhara and his 03, but only because of his Iron Wall seishin.

I meant more in terms of how they were used in the story than their gameplay value. There were pretty useless beyond grunt weakeners.

I see. Unfortunately, I can't read Japanese, so I understood very little of the plot, beyond what I've seen in their respective anime series.

Well, you could read MNeidengard's story guides. They're good to get the jist of the plots.

I don't think I'll be reading that any time soon. And besides, it's a cross-over thing, so the plot for the games are generally bad.

Theyre actually pretty damn good. They just take some big liberties sometimes with the plots. Like making alliances between enemies, making links between energy sources (getter rays, etc), and stuff like that.

Hmmm... I like W 'cause I think it has the best interface so far. The gameplay is very fast and fluent. MX for good titles, OGs/OGG for pure graphical quality and originals only (plus the best Alt Eisen so far), @2 for having Gaiking, Black Getter and GaoGaiGar in the same game.

It's too bad they didn't try harder graphically with GC. The controls are also kind of lousy.

I really wish they'd let Mazinger and/or Getter rest for a game or two, though. AFAIK there was a shitstorm over Getter not being in J, so them resting is probably VERY unlikely. As long as they stick to Mazinkaiser and Shin Getter as much as possible I'll be pretty satisfied though.

Gaiden is the first sequel to Alpha.
The game turns into a post apocalyptic setting (a reason to get Gundam X, Xabungle and Turn A Gundam in) after stage 10 or so. It's also the only Alpha game in which you can't choose an original character.

No offense, but 2 seconds on wikipedia could've solved this.

I like all the Alpha series!

OGS and OG Gaiden for the PS2 was great too!

MX is a bit boring and slow but i'm not saying MX is bad. lol

My favorite SRT was 64.

Mostly because it had Zeta Gundam and Shin Getter Robo in it.
Selene was also my favorite main character, thanks to the Rathgrith Custom

W for being the first SRT I've completed and it's SRT without UC Gundams. Well, I like them, but sometimes I really wanted to get rid of them in other SRT games. And it has Mazinkaizer, GaoGaiGar, Tekkeman Blade and Astray storylines in it!
MX for connection of Evangelion and RahXephone stories.
OG games because I like Banpresto's original very much.
And new Z is also very good!

Z is one of the best regarding teamwork and storyline, Impact is best on the challenge levels, Alpha Gaiden is also super challenging especially with the special stage Rangarok, personally I go for Z due to the most complete utilization of almost all robots from all the series, without teams most will rot a\in the battleships.

So far I would say W or MX. I like W's selection a lot, but I feel like it has a few innate weaknesses because it's on the DS (lack of voices bugs me more than it should, I guess). I like MX because I've only played several games in the series so far, and I enjoy MX for its selection as well.

srw f final, because it's the first one I have played. What I didn't like is that you can't skip through the animations, so sometimes you have to play for hours on one stage.

I only change my last word. I love Z Because Xabungle. I only like Turn A Gundam not the series... it hase bad character desing.

My favorite SRW game is Saisei-hen (Z2.2)
I also like OG Gaiden and 2nd SRW OG.
