Just about shat some bricks in that episode. Never expected the girl to be a psycho killer. Is the guy gone for good now, or what? Very promising series so far.

I believe Ayase was being abuse by her father, that's why she killed him and since Shouta found out she killed him too =/
Very cool for a start.

I assume the knife scene was when they were packing boxes? When I first saw that, I had thought she would need to be put on suicide watch rather then suspect her of murder O_o

Yeah same, I thought she was planning on cutting herself...but nope.

Seriously, that ending really made my jaw drop, like holy shit. Haven't been surprised in such a long time. Whatever Fumika "saw," it did make it seem like Ayase might've been abused or something, but I didn't expect her to kill Shouta when they came out. When Shouta stood up and talked to Fumika though, I definitely saw it coming then, but it was still shocking because that's just not what I expected when I went into this anime.

Aside from that twist, when the episode began, I couldn't help but thinking it was nice and relaxing. Loving the lighting, high contrast, and pale color palette, the combination usually gives off the mundane atmosphere. Probably why that ending hit me so hard. I did also see that the rating was 17+, but didn't think much about it...but yeah, cinematography is great.

Whoa! I never expected that kind of plot twist from the very first episode. The Episode was really Good and the background music during the episode was just Great. It did a pretty good job building up the atmosphere.

This anime has a pretty interesting and unique concept. The first episode was very intriguing.

I wonder why Ayase was doing this things.

I've already seen this anime series a while ago, but I forgot to discuss it here on MAL, that fact.
As a start it's really intriguing, the atmosphere is dull and mysterious, and even the comedy seen during the narration, stems the mood of unhealthy feeling that looks at the first scene from the beginning. Very interesting series, another gem given to us by Studio JC Staff.

The story of their dream was pretty cute and I liked Fumika's "that's so simple... but being simple is fine." Seems like she wishes for something like that.
The end was surprsing tho.

Btw I really love Fumika's character design and the overall design of the series.

There was some hint that gave Ayase away if you noticed them like the way she was holding that boxcutter when Souta called her.

At the time I figured she was thinking about suicide. It also struck me weird how nonchalant she seem when Shouta was going on about his rocket considering her father had just died so logically she should be in mourning.

When the bed scene appeared I thought maybe she was molested or raped by her father. I guess next episode will tell. Now I'm wondering if she'll try to kill her sister.

Wow, I didn't see this coming at all :o

When we got introduced to Shouta and Ayase, I thought Shouta would die through a rocket malfunction and Ayase would only get to know that he loved her through one of the letters.
Then I thought both of them would die cause of a rocket malfunction during his confession.
After that I thought he would confess and she would break down in tears and tell him she killed her dad and beg for forgiveness or smth like that (cause when it was revealed that she killed her dad, I instantly thought of abuse).
But her just stabbing him didn't cross my mind at all. Fantastic twist!
There's no possible way you can steal my heart

Wow, what a turn of events there at the end. That scene with the isolated bed definitely sealed the deal that something was off about the letter being addressed to Asuna's "lover."

Given the premise, I wasn't sure if this was going to be episodic. I didn't have much of an expectation for this series, but it somewhat reminds me of The Place Promised albeit darker.

Shouta ended up a victim of his own naivety. He sees a talking, floating stave and still can't bring himself to believe in the supernatural. Fumika's outfit is cool, definitely a step up from the usual courier attire.

This anime has a lot of potential. I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes from here.

That was NOT what I was expecting. I sort of assumed she was the killer but justified somehow, not just that she was just evil incarnate.
