Not solo piano, mind you. I think that when people were tossing this topic around, they were looking for pieces where the melody relies on the piano a lot. If you want to blame someone for this, blame that Takefumi fella for composing some decent piano stuff, thereby influencing me to pick that instrument for this week's theme.

Considered several pieces - still hoping someone nominates Tenmon, I was originally considering putting forward something from The Place Promised in Our Early Days but it's as much string-driven as it is piano - but in the end with a theme like this, there's one really obvious choice for me:

Okay, so it cheats on the emotional effect in the end by busting out strings, but I heard "piano" and thought this. The Kokoro Library OST is fantastic anyway, so I had to use it sometime. It's also downsampled from a .ogg so there's going to be some hardcore audiophile complaints but I don't feel like dragging out my CD at the moment.

If you didn't do it Omisyth, then i'm pretty sure i would have ended up choosing something from the Kurenai score. Muramatsu Ken is a master on piano.

There's a lot of piano related pieces from the two ef shows, though personally this one stands above all the rest. I'm pretty sure this won't be the only Temon piece which is nominated this time around.

I can think of a lot of good older stuff, but what the hell, I'll go with something new. This is my favorite OP of the summer season by far.

Yo, here's yet another nomination of mine that has the words MAIN THEME in its name...i certainly hope it'll be just as "popular" as the previous MAIN THEME. It's almost a solo piano but not quite...listen to the whole thing before rejecting it!
