The episodes so far have been okay, not exactly great but that's to be expected with an anime spanning 700+ episodes- it's not gonna start out insanely good.
This episode was prolly the most enjoyable thus far though and I shed a little tear there ;_;

Zoro is definitely growing on me!

Yep Luffy, Zoro, Usopp, Nami etc. will definitely grow on you ;3

I didn't like Luffy at first tbh...thought he was gonna be a bit of a Natsu...but he's growing on me. His stupidity and general blasé attitude are both infectious XD
Sanji is probably my favorite out of the main crew so far!

Technically One Piece is older than Fairy tail so it's better to say that Natsu was more like Luffy than opposite :3

The creator of One Piece is heavily influenced of Dragon Ball, and thus if you compare Luffys character with Goku you find a lot of similar traits like: super strong, goofs around too much, attracts/causes trouble, loves to eat food, is stupid when not fighting etc. :3

I berly started seeing the anime and it was nice to know about Zoros past but im calling Bs. I mean her death was pretty stupid. She's a swordswoman and dies by falling on her sword?...it's just a guess but she might've faked her death to train somewhere else to improve.

Not all of them are of the same quality though. That said, I think the anime did this better than the manga.

I thought Kuina would have died in a more dramatic way, maybe getting killed or even suicide...but the episode wasn't bad overall.

So sad. The backstory made me love Kuina because of her amazing personality. I wish she'd of lived and become the world's greatest swordsman despite what anyone said, though her death does make the story more dramatic and that's good.

While the others go messing around with cannonballs, Zoro frequently takes naps to reminisce the time he spent with Kunia 9 years ago. To think that the rival who grew in strength and spirit along with him who just promised to be the greatest swordswoman in the world being taken away from her dream that abruptly and unexpectedly undignified way. It's too cruel...

His two signature swords were already in his possession but looks like that the white Katana was actually a memento from her ;~;

It's interesting to see that Usopp has a proficiency fro all ranged weaponry so far and not just slingshots~

Yeah that death seemed very fishy to me at first, but I kind of came to accept it.

A really sad but somehow beautiful episode.

Those random cut away shots to that owl though. lol.

Man.. That feels.. The person you've been chasing after... who's your dream. Suddenly hearing she is no more, is really painful. I cried a little bit. To be more precise I was a bit emotional.

Btw how she died? I have a doubt her father killed her though some people were saying she felt from stairs and stuffs... Remember, her father told that he was just an ordinary father and other time he said that Kuina broke the rules of a swordsman and on the meeting with a person they were discussing that they can't let Kuina inherit the path of a swordsman which Kuina eves eyed.
So, it's pretty much clear that she was killed by someone.

Damn! Zoro's backstory and training.

Honestly, Zoro has been my favourite character so far. It's great to see him grow and train.

Zoro's a true one for sure. He acknowledged Kuina and doesn't disregard her skill just cause she was a girl. The dude's a true gentleman.

Welp Zoro meets his brother/partner(?)

Good episode! I'm actually having a hard time believing that Kuina is actually dead. The dad is giving me weird vibes. 900 eps to go to see if she's really dead.

Wow Zoro backstory...

Kuina die by accident like that?
It sounds so suspicious.
They didn't show us the body.
I hope there is something more into it.

Great episode! I just assumed the audience was to believe it was a suicide. Her father portrayed it as an accident since that was more socially acceptable.

wow. they really outdid the manga with this one. zoro's backstory in the manga was good but they had much more depth and time spent on it in the anime and it made it way better. this is the first time the anime has outdone the manga

Oh wow, Zoro's past was really sad, and I loved that kid she was so dam strong, but... she died.. or did she?
Who the fuck is Johnny? I think he is one of the kids in the sword training place Zoro used to be in considering the fact that he called Zoro "Big Brother"

Anyone else really suspicious of Kuina's death? She is literally so powerful but dies "accidentally falling down stairs". Also, we never see her death so it's kinda sus. I think she is either still alive or someone murdered her (maybe her dad?)

AHH Zoro's childhood. Man it was kinda heavy, ever since starting OP I was feeling like it's like just another shounen anime what's so special about it to be so popular and liked by many cool people I know maybe I am starting to get it.
