Which do you think has a sadder past?

I say Naruto has a sadder past?

Wtf? Ofcourse sasuke has a sadder past.. Naruto knows nothing about it, and Sasuke saw all of his family die. -_-

Well, they both have sad pasts but Naruto has an even sadder one because he grew up being the class clown and being singled out. Plus he sees just as much people die as Sasuke does, but Sasuke doesn't give a damn. Naruto went through his whole ;life being alone and laughed at, that's why hes so upset about sauske leaving. Sasuke had his parents to love, but Itachi killed them and thats what drives Saqsuke's anger..So Naruto has a sadder past.Thats just my opinion, though

I don't know.. If I could, I'd definitelly choose being a class clown instead of seeing my whole family killed by my brother.

Sasuke, I mean his whole family and clan were slaughtered brutally by his own brother, that must have been a nasty trumatic experence, Naruto's past itself wasn't as bad as Sasuke;s, it was sad I mean from the get go, he was allienated as a child, and got laughed at, saying that though, finding out that you have a monster inside you would also be quite trumatic...

Sasuke. Whats worse than see your family vivciously butchered by your own brother- your blood relative. Agreed that Naruto grew up being reffered to as the clown and laughed at but Sasuke's past is more sad. There's alot of mental stress to his life coz of his past and he can't enjoy things the right way.

Hmm...good question! I think it was Sasuke. At least Naruto grew up with no one at the very beginning. Sasuke's entire family was taken from him at once. Besides, Naruto turned out better b/c of his past. Sasuke turned out for the worst in spite of it.

yeah i agree with those who said naruto!

although he was seen as a clown, class dumb, he was like that to be accepted by others who saw him as a monster. he never had a family, so it was very hard for him to handle from the very beginning. sasuke was not alone at the beginning. i cant imagine what naruto felt and feels about seeing everyone with mom, dad etc. He grew up alone and he's a good person, not like the fag sasuke, who seeks revenge for everything.

sasuke's past is also sad, but he was always the class number 1 and blablabla.

so naruto got my "vote"

well thats your friends opinion, I shall stick to mine, and No its not because of his looks, Naruto has the worst childhood from the get go, but as far as the past is concerned, sasuke's is much more horrofic.

I can't agree with that. That afirmation looks like you're only talking about material stuff. But not having family and friends in the first place can make you grow alone in sadness and sorrow (like gaara did, although he has siblings). But sasuke was able to meet his family, and have friends before naruto did. so.. thta's it. it's equal dont have something in the first place and losing it. (thats my opinion)

Thing is though, having something in the first place then losing it(in a really messed up way, might i add) is surely worst than not having it to begin with, because in due time Naruto did end up with friends and really close friends who would be sort of a family to him.

Good of you to bring up Gaara in this btw, that kid had problems from the get go! haha I mean, his mom was dead, his dad was an asshole, his brother wet the bed in fear of him, His sister blamed him for their mothers death and thought he was a freak and his uncle wanted to murder him....plus he has ginger hair to top it off.

(I'm kidding about the ginger. :P)

Sasuke ended that way too.. after his family massacre, and had everybody fooling around for him. he made friends too. but he only thinked about revenge. he doesnt like people, and nearly killed naruto (his best friend). sasuke is mean, so i hate him. and sure is past is sad, i cant imagine living with memories of my family being murdered. but I prefer naruto for trying to be happy, be aknowledged and make friends after what he's been through.

And Gaara is another good example, of someone who was a beast, but now he gained a heart.

the only thing i want for sasuke in the end of the anime is death lol

It doesn't matter if you hate him or not...
Or if he's trying to be happy or trying to avenge.

Sasuke really had a f***ed up childhood. -_-

And Naruto's childhood was awesome.

Naruto has a sadder past because he was all alone and people called him a monster, and even though he had to deal with that he didn't turn out bitter and he doesn't hate the world. I'm not saying that Sasuke doesn't have a sad past but definitely not sadder than Naruto, and Sasuke is able to get revenge, while Naruto really can't do anything about that Kyuubi inside of him, something that he can't control and something that makes him hurt people who are dear to him unintentionally.
