We had some banning problems over the past couple hours. It's definitely a coding error and I'm looking in to it. If you didn't do anything wrong and it said you were banned, just ignore it. Sorry!

Edit: Turns out the banning error is the result of some proxy changes we made on our servers. At least we know the reason now. :)

If I'd been able to access the forum to read this post, I would have ignored the ban. As I couldn't find out this information, I sent an email. Please disregard my request for information, since it's purely a coding error causing the strange bans.

I did this myself. I just refreshed MAL and the message came up. Ignore my email too.

He just posted this in the last five minutes, so you wouldn't have been able to read it anyways :)

Yeah, I wasn't too concerned, since the IP# in the ban notice was quite different than mine.

Same with me. (I will admit I was worried for a while). I wonder how many emails you got in regards to this though :p

This topic was created 5 minutes ago, AFTER the issue was resolved. It wouldn't have been possible for you to read this while this problem was still present.

I was banned for like, a few hours. Since this morning. So I panicked and sent an e-mail cause I haven't done anything wrong xD But now I can read this post so, I hope it's fixed.

good it's restored now.

though I also wasn't too concerned because it was a different IP displayed by the ban message... did anyone else by any chance show 10.2.10.22 was blocked?

On a side note, since I was surprised at first (although I figured it would be a bug), I noticed the ban-message lacks information.

Yup, had that IP being blocked too, and that's exactly why I was quite certain it was an error, since that IP is way off the mark compared to mine.

Maybe it's not the case when it's not a bug, but wouldn't it be better if it also includes the reason we were banned? I don't know if it already does when you're normally banned, since here is a special case (bug), but if it doesn't, it might be a good idea (unless we personally get e-mails and such).

I'd think you're already well organized there, if it's the case, you can just ignore this post.

Thanks for the fix btw.
