We had some banning problems over the past couple hours. It's definitely a coding error and I'm looking in to it. If you didn't do anything wrong and it said you were banned, just ignore it. Sorry! Edit: Turns out the banning error is the result of some proxy changes we made on our servers. At least we know the reason now. :) Modified by Xinil, 08-01-09, 7:45 AM |

If I'd been able to access the forum to read this post, I would have ignored the ban. As I couldn't find out this information, I sent an email. Please disregard my request for information, since it's purely a coding error causing the strange bans. |

Yeah, I wasn't too concerned, since the IP# in the ban notice was quite different than mine. |

I wonder how many emails you got in regards to this though :p |

It wouldn't have been possible for you to read this while this problem was still present. |

good it's restored now. though I also wasn't too concerned because it was a different IP displayed by the ban message... did anyone else by any chance show 10.2.10.22 was blocked? |

On a side note, since I was surprised at first (although I figured it would be a bug), I noticed the ban-message lacks information. kimatg said: good it's restored now. though I also wasn't too concerned because it was a different IP displayed by the ban message... did anyone else by any chance show 10.2.10.22 was blocked? Yup, had that IP being blocked too, and that's exactly why I was quite certain it was an error, since that IP is way off the mark compared to mine. Maybe it's not the case when it's not a bug, but wouldn't it be better if it also includes the reason we were banned? I don't know if it already does when you're normally banned, since here is a special case (bug), but if it doesn't, it might be a good idea (unless we personally get e-mails and such). I'd think you're already well organized there, if it's the case, you can just ignore this post. Thanks for the fix btw. 「雨音色」 ![]() |
