| Wow, this was a surprisingly well done episode overall. The flashback and the symbolism of the bud and the flower were especially good. I really like the relationship between the two and I would hate to see either lose, but there can only be one winner! It was cute seeing the chibi versions and their friendship blooming. :) It's time for battle now though. |

Its funny I just wrote a blog post on here about Naruto and compared the filler episodes to that of DBZ. I think anyone who can bear with DBZ filler can certainly deal with Naruto filler. It isn't that bad though, these episodes are actually exciting and it's what makes this show so interesting..they focus heavily on character development which is so important within a series. That probably explains why the fandom is so huge. |

| Now about this episode.. In the first two minutes of the ep, you're already watching the fight like WTF? This guy can use his chakra to dislocate his bones/joints and wrap himself around the enemy? VERY COOL! The puppet thing was also unexpected but I'm enjoying how the writers created these characters..each one is very eccentric with their abilities. I thought the bug guy was pretty out there but this puppet guy takes the cake! Lol. And is anyone else confused/wondering why the proctor is coughing so much? Like..what is the deal with that? With Sakura/Ino's story, I like that they explained this..it says a lot about Sakura's character as well as Ino's. There's clearly love between the two of them despite the tension. Sakura feels like she has to prove to herself and everyone else that she can stand on her own two feet. That's why the scene with her hair is significant because it says a lot about how much her character has grown. Initially, her and Ino wore their hair long after hearing Sasuke liked girls with long hair. Now, Sakura is establishing her independence and I think chopping her hair off was a sign of her liberation from her childhood. She's no longer the girl who lives in her rival's shadow or the girl who changes her appearance to please a man..she's becoming a true warrior. While I still think it's petty that she ended her friendship with Ino because of Sasuke, this episode reveals that it's much deeper than that..it has to do with Sakura proving to herself and everyone else that she can rely on solely herself and no one else when it comes to becoming a better warrior. |

| too many memories for one fight, i felt they really stretched it... and i hope that compared to the previous full-jutsu battles we won't see punch only fights or all this invo&sakura background (which was kinda sweet 'till the point it was the whole damn episode) was for girls fight. |

| The fuck, Ino could fuck Sakura up in a second with her mind control ability. Completely wasted episode. And of course next episode useless Sakura is going to somehow win, although she can't do shit except to cry and simp over Sasuke. This episode legit pissed me off, I feel bad for wasting 20mins of my life on this |
