Everyone calls her Ahiru, but that means Duck, and even in japanese its not a real name so calling her Ahiru or Duck doesn't matter for in the end it sounds like a wierd name in the end. I remember when i first watched the anime on Demand and her name was Ahiru in the anime, but then they redid it for nobody (well people who don't know japanese) could catch the duck puns, so they changed it to Duck after a few episodes. Well, at least that what i heard.   |

I preffer to call her Ahiru. Just because it "sounds better". It's a matter of tastes, "Ahiru" sounds more "exotic" to english speakers so some people may preffer to call her that way. Likewise some people preffer to call her the other. Althpugh I'm pretty sure phonetics aren't the only reason. |

I prefer Ahiru. Because I think it's nicer than duck, even if it means the same.  |

I call her Ahiru. I think it's the best way. it's her name after all. All Japanese name have a meaning beside it, but noone translates names literaly |

I wouldn't call her by either name, I am writing her story before the series starts, and her TRUE form in my story is HUMAN, an evil wizard makes her a duck because she won't help anybody. Her TRUE name in my story is Aorio Metsuki, close enough to Ahiru, but slightly different, that name means 'Blue Eyes' in Japanese, which I think fits her better than either Ahiru or Duck. |

For a direst translation I think Duck is better, the whole point is that even her names says she`s a real duck and not human. However I prefer calling her Ahiru D: |

I prefer to call her duck. Mainly because I watched the dub version ( which I usually do not do.) |

I would call her ahiru only on serious occassions. but mostly duck because it sounds so darn cute! |

Definitely Ahiru, because to me it actually sounds like a legit name and I don't know, it just seems to sit better for me  |
