This is Bakemonogatari, she's probably just possessed by some six-finger'd random animal. This is a premonition of a future event, SHAFT makes no mistakes!

Really loving this show. The presentation and art style is very unique and well executed. Though I can't help but wonder how well this show'll translate when/if they ever license it for western audiences. There's an awful lot of wordplay that relies on knowledge of Japanese language and writing. It's pretty clever, but, unless you're already familiar with it, some stuff just goes right over your head.

Still as formulaic and superficial, but ever so odd and enjoyable. Direction was great, Senjougahara and Araragi are cool characters, and so are Hanekawa and Hachikuji. I liked it.

Great episode. Very entertaining with lots of original shaft visuals. I think the last episode was even a little bit better, but this one was nearly as good. Several funny and really cool scenes. Too many to remember them all.

I really don't think those dialogue-only episodes are boring. The lack of action is not bothering me at all. Action junkies should just stay away from this.

OP and ED were interesting. Especially after the OP from the first arc it was really funny to get something that "normal" and "un-shaft-ish".

This is one of the better shows this season, but Umineko and Spice and Wolf II are still a tad ahead on my rating.

Fell asleep during the episode... Now, I enjoyed the art very much. SHAFTian work is always good with doing simple things in an extroadinary way, but I might just have lost a few pieces of the story in my fuzzed mind.

A little better that the last disappointing episode. I liked the mystery about the mother of that kid and the story of how Senjougahara hates kids but other than that it wasn't really exiting and the whole mistreating the boy like his an idiot to show how much of a bitch i am while he stays passive is getting old in anime.
The Tsundere-Chan was funny though.
Episode 5 looks like it would be better, or at least that's what i hope.

I wonder is this show gone a have a different opening in every episode. They even changed the ED this time although they left the same song(that's good because i kind of like that song).

Now, how can you say that after only seeing four episodes? I've noticed how many people have thought this would just be some paranormal action-y sci-fi crap, and a lot won't accept what it truly is.

Anyways, I had no big issues with this episode... nothing special, but it got its point across. I do have some pet peeves about this one, though:

First of all, little-girl-whose-name-I-do-not-know, really don't like the idea of adding her character to the cast. She seems like another stereotypical anime-kid, if you know what I mean. Her vocab is to mature for her age, so is most of her dialogue, and she's just annoying. Her conversation with Araragi aren't as interesting as the ones he has with Hitagi, and that's why I didn't really enjoy the first 10 minutes of the show. What I did enjoy, though, was such an ominous setting that Shaft has graced us with this episode. That foggy, suburban-style complex, seemingly deserted by everyone and everything, for that matter. It almost wholly reflected the character's moods in the episode, and the upcoming conflict that I'm guessing we'll see in episodes to come. Now that I think of it, the settings and scenarios are very well done, I think this is the only anime I've watched that has put so much emphasis on them.

And what was up with Hitagi, I wonder? She was so distant this episode, it's like her personality flipped. Even though I try not to, I can't help but wonder, does she have some bad history with children, or is it some other explanation that I've failed to come up with?

Well, back on the topic at hand, another thing I didn't like about this episode was... hm, although it did point us in a direction of what will come, it was in such a slow manor that it kinda gave a small feeling of boredom, along with the feeling that something was missing...

And is just me, or did the animation quality go down. I hoping it was just my video streaming. :/

That is all. Still, in order of favorite episodes so far it'd have to be Three, then one (such a great hook!), then two, then four. Episode three was magnificent, even though I know a lot of you here disagree.

I don't know about anyone else, and I'm sure most of you have but has anyone see this show other than streaming??...this show is absolutely amazing in "HD" (Top 5 best I've seen probably to date, it's also a new show obviously, so use of the newest tech and ideas can make it stunning right?). I normally stream, but I just happened to get the HD version and it blew me away. Really making me reconsider alot of shows that I have never seen other than streaming.

I mean the show looked normal streaming, and I would never have seen the the stunning 3-D work the same way.

I mean don't get me wrong I have seen quite a bit not streamed but damn, it may be just me, but it seems like very unique fantastic animation.

BTW I personally like the loose but random direction of the show, I mean hell it keeps me coming back. Lol. ^_^

Lmao, this is a decent episode.

I love it when Araragi-kun beats Hachikuji up and smiles like he just killed someone. Kinda reminds me of Light from Death Note, lol.
But, Senjougahara didn't get enough screen time in this one. :(

I also liked the OP and the ED songs. Better than the previous ones, imo.

I'm enjoying the art direction of this series and the silent hint at depth, but a lot of the puns, jokes, and word-play are lost on my English dominate mind.

I enjoy the subtleness that is this series, but I feel like I would enjoy it more if I understood Japanese kanji more in-depth (or had someone explain the word-play to me).
