Hey! I randomly clicked on your profile after seeing you post in a spam topic. Then, I noticed the Tool lyrics you have on here and felt I had to comment. :D Very cool. Amazing song as is the case with most of their stuff.

it is confusing! it's silly actually but I don't think it really matter as the plot in kemonozume is secondary. it's merely a mean to showcase the unique animation style on the contrary of other shows when the artwork is just a vehicle for the plot, you can still try to interpret it as some sort of critique about modern society's overreliance on pharmaceutical drugs or the struggle to save tradition in the literally eat or be eaten modern world but in the end Oba chopped off Rie's arms and stuck them down his pants! it's about madness, it's about the squiggly lines it's style over substance and substance is overrated.
what kemonozume does well is that it manages to be arty yet fun and that's pretty cool as a disclaimer I'd like to mention that these are my own thoughts and they're probably wrong! I'll checkout the gunslinger show and for the customary exchange of recommendations I shall offer you "dead leaves" it's from a genre I like to call "WTF??!! Anime" and this one pretty much defines that genre, it has perfect length at ~45 minutes it's super energetic and fantastic fun as soon I finished watching it I wanted to rewatch it I wrote too much again. this line makes it worse. shut up! Ok. bye |

Oh my god, I cried so much in that part. It was so beautifull written and even now when i explain it to someone i get teary! But i'm a big softie with things like that! I'm glad you like Molly as i just saw your picture and was going to say, since i am like Kettricken you are certainly like Molly! Haha. I wasn't too keen on how it ended. I wanted the fool to turn out to be a woman (or stay a man!) but still to have Fitz!!

I am definetly going to check that comic strip out! Thanks for that! Kettricken was one of my favourite characters in those books, i liked how strong she was! I'm glad to see someone else on here who has read those books! What did you think of the ending? Oh and yes, a tawny man anime would be amazing! I had such a thing for the fool! Haha! x

Wasn't really appropriate to speak there about it, so I'll say it here. :P
True, there may seem to be a lack of character development, and the story seems to focus solely on Akari at the beginning of Natural, but midway through that, Aika gets quite abit of development, and Origination pretty much gives everyone a story plot. Aria is one of those anime that shows that every episode could very well be the last episode, but it wouldn't matter, since it's a "life goes on" type of anime, very much like one of your favourites, Kino's Journey. |

I see you're reading the berserk manga so I have a couple of questions to ask you if I may, first: at the risk of sounding like a pervert how much of the anime was censored in regards to the sex and violence aspects of course although the anime had plenty of those I can't help but wonder, specially in the end when it got freaky with the demonic tentacles and stuff I guess what I'm asking is how much if any I will be missing if I start reading the manga from where the anime took off?
secondly after I watched the anime I wanted more so I looked the manga up and apparently it was first released in 1990 so it must consist of hundreds of volumes and thousands of chapters by now my qustion is it still good, is it any good or should I just start reading the manga and shut the fuck up?! |

Yeah, I was all about Elfen Lied and ef. I've been told I have a strange way of deciding what is and isn't a good story. At least we can agree that whiskey and R&B are unpalatable.

Not only do you reference Joyce, you quote from what I think is probably the most fascinating chapter in Ulysses, making you doubly awesome. And yeah, Reki was my favorite from Haibane Renmei for reasons I could probably write essays about if college English departments in the US would let me.

Hi!~ About ending of Ghost Hound, yeah everyone seems dumb and content at the end. There was clues, about that contacting person in his brain, about still existent dead. Despite, they made ending dialogues very simple like for people who didnt understood all that crazy stuff might be.. well whatever.
: ) Hey Originator! whats up? have some ideas? ; ) not much dificult and 'pain-in-the-arse' questions of the test. Ya know, I think so much, as to I want to be balanced person.. like I see being extraverted and introverted as equally good at times, sensing and intuitive.. well Intuitive is similar to fast thinking (so its better) thinking doesnt deny feelings, but its a higher priority somewhat. and judging/perceiving I think should be balanced too. So.. Id think would be best to be like 50/50 Ex/Int, 37/63 Sen/iNt, 63/37 Thi/Fee, and 50/50 Jud/Per. Anywayz, I like this test as to see who I am, see the diferences and then understand/accept others being different. : ) Hope you enjoyed it too ; ) |

Nice to see your taking an interest in music coming from my country. I never heared of the band either thou, thou I think that's maybe because I'm flemish and I think that band is from Wallonië. Really like the song thou. Seems pretty relaxed and perfect for those melancholic, late spring days :P
Btw, I always give a damn about what other people suggest me, so don't worry about that ^_^ Take care! ttfn :) |

with no intentions to preach or be rude I have to say that your going about it in the wrong way. I finished watching texhnolyze the other day and it got me thinking about how something like that can only be animated and how it can only be animated in japan, texhnolyze isn't one of my favorites cause it's hard to enjoy a nightmare but I can't deny that it is brilliant. I read your review and I think we see eye to eye on that but my point is that I watch anime to see wondrous sights and situations not available in any other medium or realm so romance isn't really on my list of stuff I'm looking for in anime, I'm looking for a space bounty hunter show with a flavor of film noir or hip-hop culture in edo period japan (Shinichirou Watanabe is a genius) as for romance I dunno, u can watch 1950's hollywood movies or fall in love with a boy from another land – hint hint - but I don't think you'll find real romance in cartoons.
athough u can still try the Makoto Shinkai stuff, the place promised, 5 centimeters per sec it's mostly sci-fi on the backdrop of romance or the other way around but it's decent stuff fairly enjoyable. for some reason "makoto" is my favorite word in japanese anyways I hope you enjoy kemonozume (also can only be an anime) so tell me about it when you're done or just after you dropped it half way through =) |

"cheesy-teenage-homosexual-incest-drama" actually sounds interesting to me ;)
There is plenty of romance in Kemonozume so u might hit two birds by watching it and you may already know that it's an art-house-ish affair, the animation is very unique as it consists of rough and crude lines with smoother ones also pictures of real people and objects get thrown into the mix - it looks fantastic! It also offers harsh critique about modern society but I don't want to give away too much. I'll only say that it is very enjoyable. oh, and it has its fair amount of violence so consider yourself warned! I recommend maybe watching "Mind Game" to get "accustomed" to that unique animation or just because it's a good movie |
