The unexpected plot twists are indeed one of the show's strong points. For myself, I already decided that I would give it a 10 halfway through the show just because I've never really watched much crime drama anime, and that this one was really interesting. With your reaction so far, I don't think you'll change your mind. But I could be wrong just because this show is awesome.

the original scatterplot resembles this:

hey sheepdude, I have another math question. I am given data and a scatterplot that looks like an inverted exponential function. I'm told to create a function that best fits the data and the scatterplot. Can you tell me how to create an exponential function from given data and how to shift/invert it to fit the original scatterplot?

Judging by your reaction to Haibane Renmei, I'm finding it doubtful that you will like Eva either. As it also has tons of symbolism and leaves much to viewer interpretation, especially EoE.

Sorry it took me so long to reply, but I always that the characters weren't really angels per se and instead were just in a sort of purgatory. It's implied, at least in the case of Raka and Reki, that the characters committed suicide. Raka, by maybe jumping from a rooftop and Reki by getting hit by a train. I think this because of the content of their dreams, which include both of these elements.
Further evidence is provided by both characters black spotted wings, which was definitely there for a reason. I think it may represent the two characters sins or whatever they committed in their past lives. Now, in Rakka's case, the crow that was featured so much in the opening scene and throughout the rest of the series up until the time she was stuck in the well, also relates to this. The crow either represents a person she wronged from her past, a loved one left behind, or maybe even her past self. Only when she obtained "forgiveness" did she lose the black wings and was once again a normal Haibane. In the case of Reki, she was a good person even though she never really realized it. She wished to suffer alone, because she no longer wanted to trust anyone after the loss of the person she looked up to. On top of that, she nearly got another Haibane killed which I guess further added to her guilt. I thought the scene at the end of the series when she calls out for help, was a powerful scene because it showed that Reki was finally able to ask for help from her friend. The great thing about Haibane Renmei is how it doesn't shove plot points in your face or anything like that, it uses symbolization and other techniques to make the viewer participate and take what they want to take out of the story. So, I hate to say it, but it definitely isn't some boring slice of life. |

Hello! =) Of course I'm watching it! InuYasha is my favorite anime after all! Wouldn't miss it for the world! Yeah... you should DEF watch it if you want an actual ending. There are five episodes out right now, a new one every Saturday! Yupp... 5 years without a real ending is NOT COOL!! I'm sooo happy that Takahashi finally realized that herself as well!!

anyways I'm planning to take calc 2 next quarter and it seems that there's a corequisite that involves working with a thing called "maple" math software. Have you had any experience with it? |

Yeah, speaking of LoGH. I still have to finish that.

Yeah, i'm honestly not sure if I have enjoyed it enough to continue watching it. In all honesty I don't think it is anywhere near as good as Higurashi was, despite people saying I shouldn't compare the two.
On a side note: If you haven't seen Haibane Renmei, I wholeheartedly recommend it. |

So, how's Umineko coming along. I haven't watched it in a while.

insan3soldiern | 10-13-09, 11:21 PM
Yeah, i've heard it's pretty outlandish. But, that's cool. Not every show has to be a dramatic masterpiece, you know?

insan3soldiern | 10-13-09, 10:53 PM
Yeah, but at the same time we have to finish them. As an anime fan, it is my duty lol. Speaking of top rated shows, I haven't even seen Gurren Lagenn yet.

It certainly isn't a chore like, say, watching DBZ. That's for sure. Actually, after I finish Planetes or Kimagure Orange Road i'll pick it up and finish the last two seasons off. Sort of like Aria, i've been putting off the end.
