In order of what I like the most? Well....

Anime:
Clannad After Story, Kanon (2006), Clannad, AIR, Angel Beats!

(haven't watched Kanon 2002 yet and probably never will - the faces!)

Visual Novels (haven't read all of them yet - but from what I HAVE read...):
Planetarian , Clannad, Little Busters! - the rest I haven't read at all. D:

Also - started Tsukihime. I love Type-Moon so much!
You watch any of the Kara no Kyoukai films? They are fantastic.

I don't like the new Silent Hill games at all. Ever since Team Silent left for developing them and gave them to American and British developers... well, they've gone down the drain. They made them more focused on combat rather than trying to scare you - IMO, without Team Silent, there is no Silent Hill. I also read that Downpour was pretty poor too.

As for Fate/Stay Night - when you have the time and feel like it - get on that! It's easily the greatest visual novel I've ever read - It's put together so well, the storyline is amazing, the characters are awesome... yadda yadda yadda. Needless to say that the visual novel is ten times better than the anime, but that's to be expected. Speaking of visual novels - I just recently completed Rin's route in Little Busters for the first time. Sucks, because her route is only fully playable after you complete all the other heroines routes beforehand. Ugh.

Another fantastic - yet short - visual novel is Saya no Uta. Has a Lovecraftian feel and fantastic audio. Narcissu is another great and short VN - it's freeware too. Just Google it.

And yeah! When it comes to modern shooters, BF3 is the only one I ever got to really enjoy. It takes a certain amount of skill, and each kill you get feels so rewarding. And the audio... THE AUDIO! Sooo good!

And I see you enjoyed FLCL. For some reason, I've been watching a lot of it recently. It holds a lot of nostalgia value for me - it being the first anime I ever watched. I didn't understand what the heck it was all about at the time, but I really enjoyed it nonetheless. What did you think of the soundtrack by The Pillows? They did an excellent job, IMO - set the tone and feel for FLCL.

Which asks the question: What music do you like?
For me - Porcupine Tree, The Pillows, ZONE, Akira Yamaoka - and a lot of video game soundtrack stuff.

I just recently completed Amnesia, actually. It took me around... 8 hours or so. A. It was absolutely fantastic - the story was very interesting and the monsters scared the heck out of me. The prison part was absolutely... ughh. Suffice it to say... it gets quite intense. You're in for an absolute treat.

And omigash! I LOVE the first 3 Silent Hill games! Silent Hill 2 is my favorite - and yeah I agree with you. The atmosphere is really... well done - but its not outright scary, and I don't think it means to be. For me, it created a sense of dread. You wanted to move on but you had the sense that you'll get in even more deep of crap - its an odd feeling. I found them to be very compelling - and also, I cried at the end of the second game!

And speaking of Katawa Shoujo... big visual novel guy here myself, but haven't tried Katawa Shoujo out yet. Currently reading through Higurashi and Little Busters. For the record - Fate/Stay Night is my favorite.

What do you think of the recent Call of Duty/Battlefield/modern FPS genre? I myself find it entertaining once in awhile - but I can't understand how people just sit there for hours playing those things. I guess its a matter of preference, really.

Also - this is an extremely random question, but one I must ask: Have you heard of 'Miracles' by the 'Insane Clown Posse'? If so - what do you think of it? And if you haven't, here's the goods:

Black*Rock Shooter was terrible on too many fronts. The characters were very unlikable, the melodrama level was through the roof... and the 3D art in the other world feels slow (for a lack of a better word).

On good notes, the audio is good, the art for the regular world is just fine. Honestly, if they'd made the series longer and fleshed the characters out more, it would've been better - but you know, to each is their own. If you enjoyed it - that's fantastic. I just honestly couldn't stand characters that I didn't care about crying and whining every episode. I wrote a sarcastic review on BRS if you want a good laugh.

Anyways - to each is their own. BRS is honestly one of the worst animes I've ever seen - but does that mean I'm an evil person? Absolutely! Anyways - I gotta get back to playing Amnesia: The Dark Descent. Even though people say its super scary - and it sure is - the ambiance alone doesn't scare me. Does that mean I'm cool? YES! What games do you play? I need to know...

Just passing by to tell you that you did a very goo job with your BRS review. I'm thinking of writing myself, but i guess all the points I want to convey are already in your review, plus I don't think I can even write a review like that.
