It is with the deepest regret that I feel compelled to inform you of my reluctance to play Gears of War 3(TM) without reason with any frequency. Our relations cannot continue if the situation remains as it is, currently.
My reasoning for sending this letter is to request that you purchase a game that, as of 28/12/2011, I also have purchased. It is a 'First Person Shooter' video game, spread across three discs.
Looks pretty sweet. It reads like you just chuck in the third disc and you can play an alternate version of the single-player campaign. I'd assume there are lots of points for playing through this bonus campaign mode. And, as the video clearly illustrates, there's also a competitive online mode where you shoot at each other in buggies. Looks pretty sweet for a tenner, if I do say do.
Unlike you, some people have the common sense to watch what they buy on YT first.
I've also ordered Bulletstorm (£7.99; Epic Games), Vanquish (£9.99) and Fist of the North Star (£17).
In case you're wondering why I paid £17 for FotNS, after refusing to watch any more of it animated:
I hope you're enjoying ALL OF THOSE visual novels. I've gotten bored of games already and have been reading my HotD collection, as well as starting Emma.
Emma = not trashy enough for you. It's EXACTLY as I thought it'd be, based on the first volume. Matbe its pacing improves but, right now, I'm puzzled as to why rich, handsome men would lust after a four-eyed, so-so maid... and NOTHING happens.
HotD = best book money can buy. The quality is out of this world. I thought the Witchblade full-colour volume was awesome, but HotD's release blows it out of the water. The glossy pages, size and colouring quality make it more like watching the anime than reading a book... which is kinda its only flaw, depending on your perspective.
On the plus side, the bath scene now has nipples included.
PS: You're missing out on them Naruto 360 exclusives. Best sandbox platforming EVER.
PS2: When will you be sending your Wii games?
PS3: Steve Blum voices in both Singularity and Rage. This is a sign from the Gods.

I wasn't trying to be funny. I'm never funny.
I won't joke around, if you're going to be that bitchy. But can we fucking finish horde, please!?
AironicallyHuman | 12-25-11, 9:11 AM
WHY WOULD YOU COME ON THEN FUCK OFF!?
Screw you, then. You can play with yourself!
AironicallyHuman | 12-25-11, 7:52 AM
You were on Live earlier. Clearly you're done with acting like that fat fuck Santa snuck down to put presents under your tree, in front of mommy.
At around 5ish be on GoW3. Me wants finish horde. Then, we can horde restart on insane.
PS: The HotD colour collection covers the anime content almost exactly, as I thought. Only diff is the Saeko-lead alone moment occurs at the end, instead of before the last stand.

Gotta admit, this scared me a little:

I came on and you'd been off for a few mins. Then I had to fiddle around for a few mins to send this message.

When I say 'Lend me Xenoblade', I still mean WITH a console to play it on. There's no Wii game of note coming out until Last Story at the end of Feb. If you were a true e-friend you'd put your Wii in its box (with Xeno), package it up and send it to me, in my hour of need.
...Or, if I do get around to picking up a Wii post-xmas sharpish, you can still lend just Xeno to me, should the prices remain at around the £30 mark. I'm still pissed I seemingly missed out on getting a copy for a tenner, after holding out at £20.
The Wii's more of a desperation purchase. The sad thing is that Magna Carta's 'open world, enemies everywhere, chain attack' gameplay seems to be very similar to Xeno's. But I'm ignoring that, and a lengthy love-love YT review explaining the combat (chain-something to take down bosses; attack from sides) helping me understand little. Instead, I'm focusing on the British dub aand it being highly rated. IT CAN'T BE BAD!.. And if it is, Last Story is 'round the bend.
Side quests? In Magna Carta 2 you get side quests constantly. Like, 'Kill this monster a set number of times', or 'Protect this arsehole as he runs through monsters'. Kinda annoying but I get Live points in the end so it's ok. The Wii does not have Live points.
Yeah: just send me all your Wii games at once, as well as the Bailey one. Better for me that way. Won't need the cases.
You don't know it ain't that good unless you play it. Buy it for me and give updates on progress, plz--I'll forgive your shitty recs, then.
...Now, should I start rocking back and forth or play Deadly Prem...
AironicallyHuman | 12-22-11, 8:19 PM
By the way, wouldn't you agree that the time is ripe for you to pay me back for wasting my time by, once again, proving I'm right with MY recommendations?
We've typed about the lack of JRPGs, lack of Japanese games, lack of anime of interest and whatnot... yet there exists a great game on the 360, developed by the team behind the .hack games, based on anime and boasting some of the bestest graphics this gen. Yet you refuse to buy it because of Naruto discrimination.
If you can spare £10 for a game you QUIT on after a few tries, you can spare £15 for a game catered to your kind.
You remind me of this guy, except he says black instead of Naruto:

After learning that Last Story and Pandora will be getting Euro releases, like Xeno, I've decided that after xmas I'll be getting a Wii. For one game it was a bit much... but THREE Japanese games; one of which made by LO's developer? Too good to say no to.
Honestly, Xenoblade's combat looks overly complicated and its story is meant to be woeful. LastStory and, in particular, Pandora don't look JRPGish outside of the character design/cut-scenes. But you know what? The 360's selection of games has pissed me off to the point of me buying a Wii in the hope one of those three is good.
Annoyingly, Xenoblade WAS selling for £19.99 the other day, at Game. Now it's OOS at Game, with a £9.98 price. :/ As for the Wii, £90 seems to be the cheapest, at the mo.
If you aren't going to lend me Xenoblade, then find me a good deal before Last Story, which I'm gonna pre-order.
AironicallyHuman | 12-22-11, 6:44 PM
Man, did I ever pick a bad time to run out of steam for all things Japanese...
--Deadly Premonition I've seen before on GB, with the addition of funny commentary. It plays like shit. Why am I even playing it? Probably because I went with ANOTHER of your recommendations.
--Magna Carta 2 may not be a bad game, but its presentation and combat make it come across as generic and basic in equal measure. With the way characters talk also pulling it down, I'm struggling to get into it. It's just so... bland. Idk.
--Singularity IS a pretty good game. My problem with it is that everything fizzles out after an intense 'creepy, abandoned island + time travel' beginning. Now the story has become stupid and it's all about getting new gadgets. It not really being my sorta game ain't helping.
It feels like I'm forcing myself to play them for the sake of it, in stark contrast to how I was with GoW3 and ToV. I envy those who can play Halo Reach for hours, blissfully unaware of how painfully dull it is.
I was obviously way too harsh on ToV because, for all its flaws, it did keep my attention for the best part of 80 hours. I guess it's a case of various decent aspects joining together to avoid its flaws from ever ruining my fun. It had to have done something right when I can't even get into any other JRPG on the 360, bar LO!
It's getting so bad I'm considering trying FFXII. Can running in a straight line keep me entertained, do you think?
I wish I was just getting around to going through FMA: B. With Rideback and Redline, as well as Mardock and Evangelion, out of the way, there's sod all on my shelves or soon to be out of interest. As for manga, my Gantz flame started to lose its luster awhile back and everything else I REALLY like takes fucking forever to come out. Even on the internet there isn't much manga/anime of note I haven't checked out... Maybe playing ping pong with one of my four walls would prove to be fun?
...Gawd, Christmas and my life suck, in equal measure. Fuck it all. Need some sleeping pills for 24/7 sleep attempting.
PS: This is your fault for your complete failure to keep me entertained with a post-GoW co-op game.
AironicallyHuman | 12-22-11, 5:40 AM
My copy arrived, too. Left it to install. If you want to try it, I'll be on at around 2ish. Haven't long got up so need to awaken. (I'd sleep 24/7, if possible...)
Singularity arrived, as well. If Halo isn't of interest, another FPS is waiting in the wings. Joy...
Deadly Premonition vs. Magna Carta 2 vs. FPSers
Why do you need my advice? If you're enjoying it to the extent you've been expressing, you should pay to get it faster. Problem is, you never do anything fast. I watched 13-26 episodes a day, when I was into Brotherhood. You're a fucking slug.
I still have the unread novel from last Christmas. Be sure to look into Genkaku Picasso, another three volume series of his in English, if you're wowed by his art.
Why don't you order this lot for giggles? I did.

PS: Do tell if you find Father's backstory to be ever so slightly rushed. I wasn't left satisfied by how he came to be.
AironicallyHuman | 12-21-11, 4:23 PM
I was getting seriously bored of playing, anyhow, and was only bothering 'cause no manga & anime + no game of interest = boredom. And I felt kinda awkward when randoms joined. Still, can't say I understand why you left because of them. I'd have understood if it was the difficulty/tedium, but...
If you want to try Halo, let me know when it arrives/when you're in the mood. It'll be just us and our silent twosome thing, then... probably. Hopefully Magna Carta 2 won't turn out as shitty as I'm expecting, further down the line and will prove entertainment.
(Have you played Halo before?
Christmas = depressing.
AironicallyHuman | 12-21-11, 8:36 AM
/waits some more
/becomes increasingly tempted to delete
Did you mean 5 minutes earlier, last night?... You're a cunt. I know you're just F5ing like an idiot.
AironicallyHuman | 12-21-11, 7:51 AM
Get on GoW3. Now. I want to get a few more waves higher. I'M NOT STARTING HALO UNTIL I'M SATISFIED! Fuck you and your few hours / complain bullshit.
I picked up an EDF game on the PS2. Not sure if it was made by different people, going on what you said, but I thought it was awful. Low draw distance, tons of lag, crappy graphics and no story. The vid you posted makes the 360 version at least look better, but GoW3 horde mode seems a lot more fun if we're going to play a survival type game. I don't find giant ants scary in the least.
I'll wait until trying Halo Reach with you before buying anything else for possible co-oping. Presumably the other Halo games on the 360 allow co-op, and if so we can do a GoW series co-op thing. That'd be better than trying random cheap games. I was done with my "CHEAP 360 GAMES!" craze when I got bored with the console.
Magna Carta 2 might be worth looking into, btw. It's a JRPG no-one has played, spread over two discs (a good sign on the 360), set 1,000 years after a prequel I played a few minutes of before putting it back into its case.
The story and characters (amnesiac lead, voiced by JYB, who was probably a solder in the past... despite looking/acting 16/17) may very well be generic, but its gameplay is interesting. You can switch between combat and exloration with the press of a button; the enemies all appearing on the screen and linking like in FFXII. You can also interact with your surroundings to a certain extent.
So far, the biggest negative I have is how the characters interact: a still image is shown in the background, and the character models talk on top, with extremely limited/repeated mannerisms. It makes Vesperia's skits look attractive. The non-celshaded anime character designs is also kinda weird--the body proportions seeming somehow off ever so slightly.
All I can say right now is that it's better than SO4 and more enjoyable than BD... not that that's saying much.
Olivia's a nice addition to a shounen work. It's always good to see a female there not just to be the love interest or voice of reason. And, later on, it's amusing to see her bully her muscular younger brother.
I agree with you about all of the exciting moments you listed. I recall Pride's reveal, in particular, making me all tingily. But my complaints mainly lie with how the plot was resolved and the subplots weren't. I always cringe when being forced to recall End of Eva's 'NAKED GIRL IN SPACE' God weirdness, and beating God after he powered-up always makes me roll my eyes. Then there's Roy and Rita never getting it on and only a picture hinting at what happened to the characters after everything had settled down.
The fights between intriguing characters do make for good viewing. Wrath is just plain awesome whenever he's on-screem, towards the end. But the lack of death and other numerous issues weigh it down, for me. I'm in the camp that liked Scar as a killer fueled by hate and Mustang as a crazed fire-wielder.
Dunno about Emma. I remember sort of liking the first volume of the manga but feeling no attraction towards the heroine or any emotion about the romance. I like the author's work, and seinen anime is always a must, but it may be a little too dull for my tastes. Not a bad buy though when the downloads for it a lowish in quality.
I'll probably start re-watching S&W after xmas, too. Do let me know if you manage to comprehend the plot in the last half.
AironicallyHuman | 12-20-11, 10:31 AM
You told me in the past you dreamed about me. I mocked you. (I ALWAYS remember stuff I can use to insult you with--such as seeing arseholes inside a worm in a video game, when playing a bulky member of a manly team.)
Paying for sex, or twin escorts, or whatever would be a waste of money. What would be the point of paying to feel more retarded with a cheap whore? Not for me. I'd rather use your love hole, and I wouldn't be so disgusting as to purchase a fake vagina.
You said you'd be up for more hording today. Get on your sodding well 360, then. I'm pretty much done with the game now, but horde mode's ok and we haven't seen any of the maps. (We can continue where we left of on ANY map.)
In fact, download the free command pack. It's only 200mb and has more, probably better maps to mess around with. You can always delete it if none are decent.
S2 of Haruhi arrived, today. Fuck knows when I'll watch that. It's meant to be as bad as the movie is good. Not really feeling like anime or cartoons at the mo. Maybe The Emma DVDs will get me back in the mood?
AironicallyHuman | 12-19-11, 9:10 AM
Ordered Reach from Play for a tenner. Even if it's shit, I've never played a Halo game before, so I'm sure it'll be an insightful experience.
Btw, two nights ago I had a dream. I attended some sort of math course. Some girl with a twin kissed me, then moved away because of how socially awkward I was. And I couldn't work out any of the questions fast enough, to top it off. Also, my mother had written out the form for me, and put my problem as "hurt".
...Even in dreamland I'm grounded by reality. And ALL of the dreams that aren't nice have a school type setting.
Last night, I had another dream. By chance I saw you on TV, on some kind of quiz show. You were about 30st fat and I felt disgusted to have interacted with you. I then proceeded to delete you. Again, very close to reality. I think you even had a gay voice.
AironicallyHuman | 12-19-11, 5:18 AM
Get on GoW3. No point pacing ourselves now. We finish boss then play horde until 2AM.
Deadly Prem plays as badly as I remember Resident Evil 5 playing, except the zombies limbo dance in slow-mo towards you. I remember it being easy until the ceiling crawlers enter the picture.
You have to play it through THREE TIMES to get all the points. Otherwise, 700/1000 is the max. And 150 points are given for finding 64/65 cards--fuck that! I'll just take 550/1000 and play it for comedy purposes.
The bad news is, even with RAMM, I'll still be short of 5-digits. I guess I'll be playing Naruto...
...Oh ya, and I ordered Singularity. Wanted to play that ever since seeing it on GB. As for Halo Reach, sure: lets order it and give co-op a go. Since it's a prequel late in the day, it probably won't be newbie friendly, but a 4-man bug hunting team is similar enough to be worth trying while our Live codes are working.
AironicallyHuman | 12-18-11, 9:15 AM
Looked through Amazon to see if anything of interest on the 360 is coming out. Saw only two titles. Both are Japanese, and one is a HD re-release of PS2 games.
Not even that interested in Catherine since puzzle games hurt my head. Only buying it because it was made by the Persona 3-4 team.
Nearly everything strikes me as Western dullness. Still only Red Dead (GotY) stands out. Maybe Dark Souls as well. Same situation as before. That leaves me with Deadly Prem, Last Rem and Infin Undisc... :/ oh, and Naruto: Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
You wouldn't know anything was getting to you when you were the one willing to stay on to until 2AM this morning. I'm bored of GoW now, myself, and it's only really the super-hard challenge of shit players trying to survive that's keeping me going. But I'll play through the add-on campaign since it came out at the right time... even though the centipede is included-in a GoW1 prequel.
Rocket Girls, like Tide-Line Blue, got treated extra nice by me because the majority of MAL users struck me as having been unkind to the two of them. The black comedy jungle tribe / trube girl into space / cab driver stuff amused me enough that I couldn't understand why the usually easily pleased idiots on MAL managed to earn it a 7/10 average.
The fact it has a light novel out officilly in English further highlights its mistreatment: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Rocket-Girls-Housuke-Norjiri/dp/1421536420
/orders at random
As for Vesperia: there's really not a lot to say. It doesn't have a single outstanding element. It's a re-hashing of the Tales prequels and JRPG cliches; it's an example of why the genre is all but dead. Only Yuri ACTUALLY KILLING BADDIES, IN COLD-BLOOD caught my attention over the 80ish hours I put into a game with tiny areas and villains so devoid of development they leave you wondering what the point was. Even the Yuri-Flynn 'true good' subplot was never resolved.
The extra dungeon, fittingly enough, turned out to be a jumble of re-used areas and enemies. Only Kratos from ToS was new. I had to go through the place about 7+ times to get enough randomly generated items to fight Kratos and magic lens everything. It would've been too painful to endure if not for me discovering that Rita spamming meteor swarm = death of anything in under 60 secs.
All I've got left to do is the 200-man melee + hunt for any remaining monsters yet to be magic lensed + restart to magic lens Zagi at start, if I can carry over monster book.
Tales of Graces? Watched a YT trailer a few days ago. Looked like generic shit. I can tel it's not worth bothering with, just based on the costumes and hair styles. It's a shame there won't be any more decent JRPGs or anime adaptations, now that the Tales studio is no more, but I won't be shedding too many tears. ToV only stod out because games like SO4 are so terrible.
AironicallyHuman | 12-15-11, 7:46 PM
Do me a favour and watch the vids for each act, without telling you. I'm sodding well doing this for you, you stupid tosser!
Also, I'd like to do this to you.. if you actually went out and I was into devil cosplay:
