Sorry didn't mean to sound overly hyped. Just kind of got caught off guard their when you mentioned you would scanlate that.
I am assuming you know how to read Japanese then? |

ArtemisX | 03-13-13, 2:44 AM
Yes, please for the love of god scanlate Pheonix, i want to see osamu tesuka's true masterpiece unlike the anime which all the stories were condensed and its like impossible ti find online.
If you do this, ill give you access to my anime collection and anything you want :P |

Well I'm not entirely sure myself, but I can give it a try.
Gankutsuou is first of all not a Japanese story, and I think it show in the overall storytelling. I'd say the antagonist, The Count Of Monte Cristo though is a big reason why it shines, since he has so much charisma you could drown in it. The animation is, well, not the best, but it's visuals are definitely interesting and will keep you hooked when there's nothing really going on. The music is excellent, the dialogue is thrilling and, well, every element it has going for it works. Except maybe thr climax and the mech animations, but I can easily forgive those. |

The story kinda goes off the rails in the second season but otherwise I still enjoyed it but I still liked Sora more.

If I rate something a 10 it means it's one of my top 10 favorite series and I don't think its actually a masterpiece (to me there's no such thing as a masterpiece).
As to why it's one my favorites it has to do with the fact that everything about Sora just clicked and worked well together. The setting, the characters, the comedy, and the randomness that happens at times. |

If you're still interested in reading Sekirei I answered the question in the thread.
Long story short start reading from where Season 1 left off. So at Chapter 49. |

I see you have been going anime overdrive in these past couple of weeks
|
|
TheJareBox | 01-26-13, 7:21 PM
Haha, that's understandable. I'd suggest you to rewatch it though, it's pretty funny without the historical references too. :D
Anyways, what've you been up to? |
|
TheJareBox | 01-24-13, 7:32 AM
Hey there :D thanks for the random comment, much appreciated. You seem to have pretty good taste in anime. *cough*besides Hetalia*cough*
any way, I think I'd like to carry on more conversation with you before accepting the request. :) |

There are no "good guys" and "bad guys" in Dorohedoro, hehe. It's all moral gray. Get used to being confused for a while since the characters themselves are confused. To ease you into things, you can think of Kaiman as the protagonist for now.

Nice try at a save there, but jokes require a structure then punchline, neither of which you had. What you did is called just lying, but sadly you werent as your 2nd comment validates the authenticity of the 1st
anyhow sorry but just rephrasing exactly what i said slightly and adding some slurs against the mentally challenged doesnt qualify as a comeback. Try harder next time, so ill leave you with this to reflect upon "yet you have nothing better to do then attack people on an anime forums, pathetic, do something with your pathetic life." |

I'd rather be retarded then be like you getting rude and insulting to all those that criticize you when you are clearly in the wrong
I cant believe we are only a year apart in age yet you still act like you do, this isnt grade school anymore bud, grow up. |

Hiya! I love Dorohedoro much more than BotI. That's not meant as an insult to BotI, just a testament to how much I love Dorohedoro.
Dorohedoro Pros: Amazing plot, unique world, creative powers, awesome characters, mind-boggling relationships between the characters, great humor, creepy atmosphere, lots to analyze and think about. Cons: Can be very confusing the first time around, takes a while (like volume 7+) for the main plot to kick in (but it's always there, you just don't notice the first time since you don't know what to look for). Blade of the Immortal Pros: Great characters, lots of moral grayness, fun battles, morbid humor, lots of exposure to Japanese culture without the stiffness you find in series like Vagabond. Cons: Lots of talking, lots of politics, can get boring sometimes. |
