Ah! I thought we had spoken before.....and we have. I read your Ayakashi, Japanese Horror Classics review. It was an interesting series of stories, and like you, I found it to be informative. It was naice to see Japanese horror in something other than a live aqction film. My favorite, by far was Goblin Cat. That is one of the best stories I've ever seen. I found it to be even better than Mononoke. Thanks for your review.

I found Blackā
Rock Shooter (OVA) to be a wonderful visual experience. I knew going in that it would not have much character development, but that artwork....WOW. Music was very good as well. The TV series was good but it didn't have the same WOW as the OVA. Still, both were enjoyable. Thanks again for your review.

The last few episodes of Fruits Basket were jarring in their impact. Few anime ever hit that kind of power in a story. It's one of the reasons the story is in my Top Series list. It is a thoroughly enjoyable series and I really don't care whether the art is modern or not...it's the story that ALWAYS counts for me.
