I bought the first volume (I had it on preorder) but I haven't preordered the others as I've even seen the first volume at Barnes and Noble. I hope they do the whole series unlike Viz who dropped it after a few volumes. Yas is one of my favorite artists and in my opinion, Origin is the best version of the 0079 story (most people don't agree but OH WELL)

I still trying to find something similar but it's hard, a lot of the reason I love tend to be because the long development for the characters and story and the open message on themes that made them a lot more compelling and immersing .

be sure to check the the movies later on, they complete the series in a sense though they are in different timeline

Honestly, I'm quite new to non-manga comics. I do have a few on my shelf though: Crogan's Adventures, JTHM and Squee!, Cats are Weird (gift from a friend), Courtney Crumrin, Dr. Horrible, and Serenity (still need to get 3). The last two only because of how much I love the movie/show. I'm really a complete and total newb to this, so I'll rent stuff from the library, it's why I bought Courtney Crumrin and Bone after all (also helps that the one comic book store has used books at 50% off, and a sale today making them 55% off, so I got that sucker for $19 after tax). I'd heard about Bone before, but being skeptical, rented it first, it really is quite good, so I've read the first 1/9th of the series.

I find I'm still a bit picky though when it comes to artwork, and in particular dialogue set up. I find that a lot of manga use panels with no dialogue in them whatsoever (Fumi Yoshinaga takes this to the max it seems) and a lot of American comics tend to have dialogue on every panel with few exceptions, that just makes it seem cluttered to me. That or I'm looking at the wrong comics. I also tried to read some stuff from my more comic book reading friend's collections, but I don't seem to like the superhero stuff too much, I feel like the pages aren't alive and moving like they are with manga, they just seem stiff and rigid to me.

I need to add My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic to my non-anime TV shows. Yes, I am a brony.

One episode in and i just couldn't bring myself to carry on :')

Mannn your bleach review is gr8, I think I have managed about 3 episodes of it (and 90% of shounen titles in general) and had to throw in the towel. Tite Kubo is just... not gr8.
