What's up, I just wanted you to know that I finally finished Heaven's Feel and loved it. Now, I'm going to tackle Tsukihime from the beginning. In other words, I'm going to go: Arcueid, Ciel, Akiha, Hisui, and finally Kohaku.
Hopefully, I'll enjoy it more the second time through like I did Fate. |

Anyway, about Kara no Kyoukai. By Fujinon you mean the character Fujino? Yeah, thought she was a very interesting character. It was a movie that had some very interesting topics, though what got the movie a 9 is that final scene at the end between Shiki and Mikiya. Also, the reason why movie 3 has the highest rating is because I haven't re-watched 5, yet. The first time that was the film that gave me the best impression. Like you said, I still need to finish the KnK series. And, I've got to see this Tsukihime anime at some point. I think the Fate/stay anime are bad, so this should be interesting. Also, I just watched the UBW movie and I wasn't impressed by any means. |

To be honest, it's a toss up between Heaven's Feel or the rest of Tsukihime. Part of me wonders If I'd be better served to re-read all of Tsukihime like I have done with Fate/stay so far, which has boosted my appreciation for the series a great deal. I'm starting to lean more towards HF because of that.
That said, I'm probably going to finish the rest of the anime and check out the UBW movie before reading Heaven's Feel. Speaking of which, I wasn't a fan of the anime by any stretch of the imagination before reading the VN, but I REALLY dislike it now. Wow, they butchered these characters. It's strange, though, in many cases the dialogue is the same but the spirit just isn't the same..probably because the character motivations aren't as detailed as they are in the VN. Plus, the music is a step down. Btw, maybe I should read the Tsukihime manga instead of re-reading the VN? I'm assuming it doesn't spoil anything for the Hisui and Kohaku routes? If not, it could kill two birds with one stone and I'd also like to check out that non-existent Tsukihime anime to see if it's as bad as I hear. Anyway, on to UBW |

Yeah, UBW was great. Like Fate I certainly enjoyed it much, much more the second time through. Archer turned out to be one hell of an interesting character and the route in turn added quite a bit of depth to Shirou and Rin as well.
Anyway, that's about all I could think of. Call me crazy, but I think I preferred Fate just a bit more, particularly because I thought the final battle in that route was incredibly awesome. Though certain scenes like the backstory on Ilya and Berserker, those two battles I mentioned, Tohsaka Rin herself (god she's awesome), Archer's "farewell", and the final few scenes were great. Both Fate and UBW are 9's in my book. Which means I've rated both higher in the second read-through. Excellent stuff. |

Thanks for the other info. Oh and about UBW, haven't finished it but: I can't remember much more than that, though. I'll comment more after finishing it. It's been great so far. Though I can't say that I prefer it or Fate over the other, I thought both were excellent in their own ways. |

Oh, and I'm nearly done with UBW and, yes, I liked Fate a great deal but this route is on a whole other level. I think I am going to go with Tsukihime after UBW, I kind of got in the mood for it while looking for OST's for my blog. Btw, you said I should at least get a summary for the Ciel and Akiha routes..does that mean they have relevance to the Hisui/Kohaku routes? And, as much as you seem to like Kohaku I was surprised that you said Hisui's route is equal. |

Lol, 2020. Sad but probably true. Voice acting and especially the Sacchin route would be worth it though. One of my favorite parts of Tsukihime was when she chased Shiki throughout the city, that whole sequence caught me by surprise. I'm sure Mahoyo will translated eventually, at least.
Incidentally, what are your favorite routes of Tsukihime and Fate/stay? Aside, from Kohaku and Heaven's Feel respectively, I mean. And, yes, I do plan on watching Carnival Phantasm after finishing those two. |

I guess I'll go with the original, I listened to both and I agree that the original music fits the atmosphere a hell of a lot more. I'm not going to use Saya no Uta music because I haven't played it and I'd rather have the real music.
Is track 4 the music that plays in the "mind screw" scenes like when Shiki I think the track 3 was the only one I actually liked from Ever After. The rest didn't really feel right. I'm kind of curious what the music sounded like before the remastered original soundtrack, I heard it was quite bad. |

Just curious, but between the Ever After soundtrack and remastered music of the tracks straight from Tsukihime which one do you prefer? I've been checking them out and I think I prefer the original version, it sounds alot darker to me.

Or I could be (probably) wrong. In any case, I'll be reading the stuff at the beginning before the paths diverge. Anyway, thanks for that link. That could make it easier on me. I know I liked the Akiha route more than the Arcueid/Ciel route, it had a much darker tone. I'm assuming that's the case for Hisui/Kohaku. |

Yeah, I remember hearing about the Ilya route being cut out. I'm glad they left the important stuff in. I'll be looking forward to it, I'm really enjoying UBW right now and I'm near the end, day 13 I believe. It's strange, I've enjoyed Fate/stay as a whole much more this time around.
I'm thinking about taking a break though and finishing off the Hisui and Kohaku routes in Tsukihime after finishing UBW. |

I saw your comment about Hansel and Gretel and i searched up a little about them here in MAL and decided to download just one of Black Lagoon second season's episode to see it in action. I really feel bad for them ;3; But both made me really curious about the anime.
I wanted to watch just because of them, but since it's the second season, i need to get in the first one first. Does it worth watching? |
