I'm really impressed so far. It's pretty cool when shounenes have modern world settings blended in with fantasy and stuff, so it reminds me of Rave and HxH in that regard. Overall seems like a great one, not sure how it'll develop in the long run or where things go... but yeah. So far so good.

Can't forget about the goodness of having Takamura as the ref and also the first of the speed line background visuals. Never expected the fight to end that way either. Fuji is always around and it's great getting the sports writer perspective on things. He came thinking he'd see one thing and saw another.
I'm secretly paying off the Madhouse staff. Shhh... |

Another fantastic addition. I've always loved the reason for him being with them. I think back to the first time I saw him with the tattoo. It came as a bit of a surprise since he didn't seem like the type of character who would align himself with a group. So it all felt so right when moments later he reveals that he's just playing them.
It was cool seeing a bit more of what her arm looks like. That scene was better here since it got a bit more time. Not sure why Leorio haggling down the price of the phones was sorta flashed over though. I always found that funny. |

Ippo's shadow boxing and the shower scene are so hilarious. This series has the best dick jokes ever. *laugh* Gotta love the relationship between Ippo and Miyata who also gets lots of good character development.

Nice, you're getting places in the manga. I have way higher hopes for the animated version compared to reading. I think some of the pace issues would solve itself and as you mentioned, the narrator could help out a shit load.

I'm really enjoying Kuroko a lot. It's fun and you should prob catch up with it when the season is over. I hope there will be more seasons instead of just this one, but I will prob read the rest if that never happens.
Toriko is awesome. I know I like it more than a lot of other people I know, but there is something so unique about it's world that just grabs me. I love the whole concept, I'm hooked! |

There shall be much to discuss once you start Ippo. That mountain of a manga isn't going anywhere. You can eventually read it to see how the art evolved and then go beyond where the anime leaves off. The anime is just so dialed in from the first second.

One Piece movies 5-9 I think, I've seen Strong World but not most of the ones just before it. I'm not looking forward to the recap movies at all though, I hear they're awful and I'm not surprised. |

One of the better parts so far. I just looked up an arc guide and looks like another 3 ep mini arc is 69-71.
There was a trailer on ANN for the movie. But it was the same thing floating around a couple of weeks ago with random clips from the series. Can't wait till we get a snip of the real footage. "Might finally start Ippo" Excellent! I'll be getting back to the manga soon myself. I have 64 chapters stocked up. So that's going to be a lot of fun. |

It's not bad I just think it could be way better. The fights have been cool too, but nothing comparable to Heartcatch... haha, I guess that just might be the best representation of this artstyle (Heartcatch). I really hope that one gets a sequel since they set things up for the possibility.
I guess if I need a One Piece fix I still have some of the movies to hit up. |

Backwards, forwards... upside down...don't think it was going to make a difference for me lol. It was one of those shows where I turned on the first episode and instantly thought "oh no...". I'll try and watch enough stuff along side it so that it doesn't feel worse.
I just reached the Benizakura arc. So this should be better since it's at least a few episodes. Now I'm really looking forward to that preview. Glad we can confirm exactly what it is this quickly. I so badly want to hear what Kuroro sounds like heh. That should probably be during the closing minutes of next weeks episode. |

Nice. I want to assume Fishman is a bit of a calmer arc? That seems to be how One Piece goes sometime, a huge major arc, then something more mellow. I guess I can probably keep waiting it out now that I'm keeping up with a handful of shounens anyways. I just wish Omega would be better, lol...

I have a hard enough time remembering what I read with manga. So reading weekly just wouldn't work for me unless it's something I know very well. So I'd wait till whenever it was done. Yeah, Gintama is going good. I'll probably watch a couple a day for a while. Might get to the early 100s this time and put it on hold again. "Touka Gettan is a great show." Oh... Yeah... *scratches head* I can't agree with that. I'm finding this series absolutely miserable. But it's a personal taste thing that just doesn't click with me. The two shows it's reminded me of most are Yami to Boushi to Hon no Tabibito and Kannazuki no Miko. Which I strongly disliked. This type of Shoujo Ai might be my least favorite style of anime. |
