I call bullshit. Yeah, I know that the Sybil system's got everyone like sheep. Yeah, I know that scenes like this play out in the real world. I still call bullshit. Not one person thought to call the cops. It's not the dude was focused on anything else but beating that chick to death. Just, argh. /rant.

Oh yeah, and I'm watching Attack on Titan and Gargantia. On the fence about Gargantia. But Attack on Titan is a must-watch for me.

For the first time in a long while, unadulterated Shingeki hypin' lead me to make 40ish posts in its sub-forum. Back when I was going through my MP4 EHDD anime backlog / finished lotsa manga, I occasionally made end-of-series threads, or posted in the final ep discussions. Now, though?... Meh. Gone back to my 'meh phase', now I'm not feeling Shingeki.

Feels like an age since I watched Breaking Bad, but my hate-comments were probably aimed at the half-season ending with that fat coppa taking a dump. Still looking forward to finishing BB - if only 'cuz the UK is *FINALLY* getting Blu-ray releases... even if they're all overpriced individual sets; the BBS5 set obv only having half a season worth of content but costing as much as the rest. Re-watching the best of Walter White in the hood should be pleasing... even if BB does end as shitty as practically everything else.

Are you following any other Yank TV? I WAS into Walking Dead & Homeland, but S3 & S2 of those saw to it that I wouldn't be continuing. Walking Dead became increasingly mundane/repetitive with its prison antics, and Homeland just couldn't keep up its psychological thrills after its first season of what-if-a-white-man-was-a-terrorist twists. Yank TV, more so than anything else serialised, seems to run out of steam only continue as cash-cows SUPER-FAST. Also dropped Lost and Dexter.

...on the bright(er) side, Game of Thrones is as good as ever... even if it's the most epically drawn out saga of all time. The 'few mins per characters, per ep' pacing started to get to me in S2 but ep4 was REALLY good, following my fav character becoming distinctly less... handy; his desperate fighting being pitifully moving.

Fret not over your pitiful existence, for I am no better. If I'm playing my 360, my sole purpose in life is to accumulate as many worthless Live points as I can. Ditto for the PS3xtrophies. And, ofc, whenever I watch anime or read manga, my purpose switches over to increasing my MAL life-to-anime/manga ratios. (I'd probably kill myself if MAL died, along with my internet identity...)

What you have to understand about DSP is that NOTHING is ever his fault. If he dies, then the game was badly made. If he's able to do something without issue, the game was well made. The whole point of watching DSP play video games is to see him get stuck, rage for 10+ videos, then repeat the process on the next brick wall he encounters. And that's why seeing him play Dark Souls is such a pleasure: he's died so much that he's actually fearful when playing of imminent death.

He actually dropped it, years back, at blightown. He started it again a few weeks back; this time playing with a livestream + people telling him what to do + relying on other people to kill bosses (he solos again, now... but he beat the hardest boss in the game - a little and large team - without even doing anything). It isn't as funny anymore since he's gotten overpowered gear / enough humanity to last him a lifetime for health drink spamming from his fans, but it's still funny when he dies 5+ times vs. the same boss. Look him up on YT, yo!

Already told you that I own Dark Souls + the DLC for the 360. Ain't played it yet cuz I'm not in the mood for gaming atm. I probably will, eventually, even though I'm now behind the times to the extent Dark Souls 2 is coming out. Not sure how far I'll get without using the internet for help, though. From watching DSP, it'd seem like not wearing armour for speed + ranged attacks/magic are the ideal way to play... but I think it's mostly NG+ players or w/e that use magic. Most peeps obv go down the sword & shield route and get owned a lot.

I'm much too lazy to read paragraphs not directly aimed at me, but I did quickly skim your first link and one of the things that sticks in my mind the most about Dark Souls that I've seen is how... perilous the falls/areas in general are. When death matters so much, risking traversing a thin bridge of sorts as mages cast magic at you and traps are triggered would, I imagine, keep me on edge.

...Ugghh, enough rambling you'll never reply to. I'll prob have an essay to reply to with an essay from someone else (alteredcourse) in a day or two, so no worries if you're too lazy. I've checked you're alive for responses, you aren't ignoring me--CHECK-UP COMPLETE!

PS2: Play The Witcher 2, if you ain't already. I don't play WRPGs so it's the most similar game to Dark Souls I've pla... err, encountered. Plus: DSP's rage over how hard it is to begin with = more dislikes than likes.

You neither talk nor type... and yet, it's always your scores that catch mine eyes when I check to see how few of my small list of MAL-people have rated what I've just rated. Since we rate everything 5-7/10 by default, there's rarely much of anything separating our views. I suppose that means, for me, your reason for existence is to re-affirm my views. AND YOU CAN MAKE TAG-REVIEW-COMMENTS THAT I SOMETIMES READ!

...Btw, that's Dark Souls: Prepare to Die. Are you a fun of DSPgaming, or do you like the game? I've yet to play it, although I do now own it. Having watch DSP play it for so long, I feel almost as if I've played it already. Almost.
