I might get hate for this but I so far really like SAO through 8 episodes.
Did you hate it early on or did it turn to shit later in the series? |

So basically the game is superficial, and will only satisfy hardcore fanboys, god that's disappointing. Oh well i wasn't planning on buying it anyways, i want to start getting into the Shin Megami Tensei games first.
Thanks i'll try that out. |

Yeah, that first ending was pretty depressing.
Anyways, he made the right choice and is on Saya's ending route. |

I haven't played the video game yet. Most sites and reviews tell me it's great but i have some friends who say that it wasn't very good, and all the success and acclaim was due to the franchise itself. What about you have you played it.
I've tried downloading visual novels, Clannad and some Type Moon games, but i could never open them. They said i needed some other program to open them that i couldn't find and isn't on my MacBook Pro. I tried Clannad from that site you recommended a while back, I believe it was called Eroge Download, do you know what program their talking about, or am i just doing something wrong. |

How far into it is he? Because there's a lot more fucked up things toward the end.
Also, Saya's ending is amazing. Get that one first, unless you already finished it. |

I have other shows i need to get to too, i still need to check out Game of Thrones, and watch the other seasons of Breaking Bad and 24 among others. But yeah Walking Dead is great, i watched the first episode at like midnight a while back thinking i'd watch it then go to bed, ended up watching the entire first season and didn't catch a wink. The comic books are great too.
Yeah you told me about Saya no Uta a while back. The visual novel about the guy who sees the world as nothing but blood and guts, literally, except for one girl. That one right, how much does it cost, or can i download it off a website for free like Katawa Shoujo. |

I've had that on my to watch list for a while, i've heard it's good albeit strange, It's also on Crunchyroll (i think) so i'll watch it eventually. Right now i'm taking a break from starting new series and sticking to the airing ones so i can catch up on The Walking Dead.

Alright, time to look into Hataraku Maou Sama since it's also short :D Read the synopsis, and I was just like, "wtf?" hehe.
Started watching soul eater a few days ago, and I must say, it's EPIC! |

But isn't it boring since there's too many similar ones out there?? Oh yeah, I think it was that, watched it so long ago I can't remember the name. I didn't say it's like Steins;Gate but it tried to be abstract about everything, hinting here and there and expecting the audience to make sense out of it. Steins;Gate spouted nonsense but it served to hook you in, it was more of a distraction(or annoyance) in Darker Than Black. And I can't even get a clue of what the whole thing was about at the end.

The most obvious would be Marvel Comics...Batman? The "China man in black" concept takes after Jet Li, who does stunts in a stylish black coat similar to what Hei wears. Jet Li also acted as an angsty and lone China man in America or something in some gory movie. And I saw a recommendation that says a certain case was a lot to Cowboy Bebop's atmosphere. I'm not sure but the whole thing just felt "borrowed" and disjointed at so many points without being complimentary since it tried to be original. I'm sure even if people aren't familiar with most of the things it borrows from, which I'm one of them, they can see it takes a lot from somewhere. If I may add, it also tried to be abstract, something like Steins;Gate, but ended up being a mess.

Yeah, someone like you who loves seeing terrible things happen to characters will go gaga over episode 25. And make sure to check out the bloopers afterwards, i've watched half of them so far and they're hilarious.
I get what you mean, in some way i do that too. Like how i give a show like Baka and Test an 8 but i also give a show like Evangelion an 8. Two completely different shows with different qualities, yet both get the same score because of how i felt about what each was trying to accomplish, and yet i wouldn't say that they're equal. |

Well, i guess it's because they can cut out Guts being raped and still have the plot progress the same, but Casca getting raped is a far more important moment, for Guts burning hatred of Griffith.
That's a pretty good way to judge things, but i don't think i could rate things that way. If i did then that would mean me giving a show like High School of the Dead a 10/10. Don't get me wrong, i like High School of the Dead, it's a very fun show and i hope we get a season 2, but there's no way i could give it that high a score, even if it does accomplish all it sets out to do. |

It does end kind of abruptly, the messed up part is they only needed one more episode and they could have stopped at the right place in the manga to stop off at. Yes they cut out Guts sexual abuse, but they don't hold anything back with Casca, the poor thing.
I have been meaning to watch High School DXD. I've heard that it's shit but it's very enjoyable shit, and there's going to be second season so i'll probably watch it before that airs. The only two things i've really heard about the show though, other than the synopsis, is that it has a really good soundtrack, and that they always use weird beams of light to cover up privates. |

Pretty good, i'd probably even put it somewhere in my top 25. They cut out a couple things, wither because it wasn't TV appropriate or because they needed to make it fit into the amount of episodes needed, but they did a pretty good job of adapting the Golden Age arc. I'm really surprised though that they really did not pull punches with the Eclipse arc, they went all out, at least until they just stopped and the show ended. That ending is the only thing keeping me from giving it a 10/10.
By the way is Infinite Stratos as bad as i've heard it is or what? |

Very disappointing? I'd rather call it painfully average. I don't have much problems with the action since it is distinctly formulaic. But one thing I felt was that it relied too strongly on borrowed concepts that it felt less and less of an original, and more of a copycat. The characters themselves really showed a lot of potential though.
Personally removed duplicate comment btw. |

Not yet but i've heard it's great. I believe it's part of the Naoki Urasawa trinity along with Monster and Pluto, am i right?

Exactly, she is just "too much" and ruins everything in that anime.

Hi there. I see you've watched Darker Than Black and we're on the same score. What do you think of it??

To be fair many have tried to be Bebop in the past, Samurai Champloo and Black Lagoon for example, and all have failed. It's not something that can be recreated easily. It's not that surprising that they never explained the gate, loads of anime have certain aspects that are never explained, the Japanese prefer to explore the journey of the characters that to provide a complete story where everything is solved in the end. He's known as Chinese Electric Batman because he was called it in Gigguk's Top 20 Epically Cool Anime Characters list and the list became sort of a sensation though the anime community after being spread around, here's the video,http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=094FT4q9vTU . The reason why he's called it though, i guess it's because of his all black attire, mysterious and aloof attitude, use of shadows, and acrobatic skills. I might go so far as to say that Hachiman is the best MC of this season, his IDGAF attitude and cynical philosophy is always entertaining. I felt so weird about how Amber just got consistently younger yet always had a thing for Hei, it was a bit creepy, wish we saw more of her mature self.
