I remember last year in Honors English, the first essay I wrote got one of the highest scores in the class... now that standard I set for me is not being reached. We had to do summer reading.. oh snap... I am hearing tornado warnings. lol! I'm gonna mow my lawn now... that's the first Oklahoman response.
Over the summer in English class we read The Chosen by Chain Potok... keeping in the spirit of reading Jewish literature we just read Night by Elie Wiesel... and man there are scenes in there that break me. Now we moved on to The Giver... which most of us have already read, but we're discussing distopias. I remember reading that in like 4th grade and I remember the ending confusing and upsetting me. Have you read books that killed something in you or greatly upset you for class? |

Oh man, I know what you're talking about when it comes to trying to coordinate clubs. I made an anime club at my high school... I kinda wish I didn't since it was a flop. After certain political events EVERYONE left. Except my friends.
This year we haven't done much for state testing... the Algebra 2 test is really new so we don't know what could be on that test. In English... well I'm in honors classes and we don't give a damn about grammar it is all about writing skills in there. As for everything else... I can easily float through them because I can feel the soul of power ballads! |
