Were you perhaps bored of school? Was it not challenging enough for you? Gifted people tend to be bored after all. You shouldn't blame yourself for that, you're doing well now, right? There are so many things you can do with that IQ of yours, you can achieve anything as long as you don't give up studying.
As for the smoking part, I think it's totally natural for teens to experiment. Personally, it's not something I would do, but isn't it a lot better to play around when you're still young than now? By the way, I'm so sorry for my late reply, I finally managed to spend time with my best friend outside of school and I wanted to focus solely on her. As for the discussion: What are your views on anarchism? I'm not exactly interested in politics, but I like discussing ideologies. |

Welcome back!
I certainly do have plans.. too many of them, maybe. I'd like to study medicine, if possible. Too many people want to study that, so I'll have work really hard to stand out from the rest. Biology and psychology are my second options. What about yourself? LoGH has been on my to-watch list for ages.. I was looking for a good anime today, but I couldn't find anything of interest so thanks a lot for reminding me! As for Aku no Hana... that isn't exactly a masterpiece, unlike Attack on Titan. It's.. somewhat decent, if you can look past the art. I wouldn't really recommend, though. There are so many other anime, I would watch pick up Monster first if I were you. I started to watch Psycho-pass (and Suisei no Gargantia!) as soon as I read that it was done by Urobuchi. |

Sorry for my late reply!
That sounds like great fun! I don't know when you're going, but I hope you'll have fun! I've known my best friend for at least 4 years but I've never been at her place before (she hasn't been at mine either) so hopefully we're going to spend a lot of time together. I know it doesn't sound exactly spectacular or anything, but to me it's very special! Thanks! |

Good and evil is confusing! I mean when people talk about good and evil, what do they really mean? Is it a transcendental obligation, or is it a mere opinion on the same level that one likes the color green? Are normative prescriptions empirically observable? If it's morality you wish to talk about, then you're talking to the wrong guy. I believe the commonly held idea of morality doesn't exist, and is delusional like God.
If you want to talk about the idea of "good" as specified ("actions that bring happiness to others"), then I prefer to use the words that describe what it actually is -- empathy and cruelty -- instead of assigning values to it. Do humans have the concept of empathy embedded in them? I would say yes. Scientific studies have shown that babies, dogs even, recognize when someone is in pain; and on average people tend to feel better when they help others as opposed to taking advantage of others. This can be explained through Evolution -- we are social animals, and as social animals we take consolation in the welfare of our tribe in order to handle stronger enemies. However, because empathy is developed through Evolution, there is also a component of selfishness. We help others ultimately as a means of helping ourselves, and passing on genes. Would they infer that God empathizes in a neutral and uninfluenced environment? The concept of God is a posteriori, meaning we know of it through what other people tell us, and not inherently (unless you would like to argue otherwise). A baby does not know what God is, so a baby that grows up in an uninfluenced environment would not know what God is, unless they were to imagine the beings, in which they could take on any value capable to their imagination. Frankly, the idea of an all-powerful empathetic God is contradictory, since he should have the power to get rid of cruelty. Would humans seek positivity and empathy naturally? Yes, because it helps them (most of them) survive. But if what you wanted to talk about was actually good and evil, and not empathy and cruelty, then you'd probably do better than asking me by Googling some fairy-land philosophers of moral realism or religious philosophers. |

I played flute in band xD. And I have a keyboard that I'm decent at, I also have an acoustic guitar that I'm not so good at playing haha.
But yeah of course, I can and if you like dubstep and violin then you'll probably love Lindsey Stirling. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aHjpOzsQ9YI The song you sent reminds me of Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven Here are some more piano ones I enjoy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8rAdxVOmEnE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=621Pfa8RA60 this one has vocals but it's so pretty. I also like Celtic music a looooot lol. Which speaking of I noticed you're from Scotland, I have Scottish and Irish in me c: And it's fine by the way, I enjoy music a lot. So, Sorry I did the same xD. |

Hmmm, I'm not sure which would be more like a shounen anime. But, I really enjoy the series Vampire Kisses, it's a 9 book series and I've read them all. They also started making a manga after them I have all of those two except for the new one that came out. It's by Ellen Schreiber. The series is a bit predictable but I still enjoyed it. Evernight is also a good series. I'm reading The Perks of Being a Wallflower right now, it's pretty good so far - a bit boring at times though.
My recommendation on books: 1. Vampire Kisses. 2. Evernight. 3. Perks of Being A Wallflowwer. 4. The Hunger Games. 5. and for things more of the mental illness level - Go Ask Alice, 13 Reasons Why, or The Me Nobody Knew are all pretty good from what I've read / heard. I'm also starting The Complete Sherlock Holmes Vol. 1 Novel here soon. Actually, I do like the majority of those songs you sent. I listen to a lot of music, but classical is one of my favorites. I love cello and violin and piano music. And artists like Dinu Lipatti I don't know if you know him but he's a Romanian Pianist. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e0VhKERbhkE I also like genre's like Indie, Dubstep etc. |

I enjoy writing fiction, I adore poetry if done right. I love Robert Frost, his poems are always beautiful and I love Edgar Allen Poe's work, I've read his whole book of poetry back when I was in 7th grade and loved it.
I prefer to write in first person as well, but when I roleplay - paras are always in third so I can swing either way to be honest. Co-Writing Paras are much easier done in third person, where as writing a book is easier for me to do in first! I love to read fantasy and psychology books and even old classics. I like Romance thrown into them all too, so I guess when I write I tend to follow up on those themes as well. Writers block will forever be my downfall in writing xD. By the way, a bit off topic - but while we're on the random spree of talking, what type of music do you listen too? |

Hey Auto! Since we'd both like to remain anonymous, simply "Raksha" will do.
I'm good and excited, because tomorrow is the last school day before my two-week long spring break! I can't stop fantasizing about the fun things I'll get to do once I'm free. What about you? Edit: I'm really not used to this site as I've been commenting on my own profile accidentally. |

Yeah, that's true. I took it without even knowing what it was - a friend of mine recommended it to me but he didn't tell me what it was about at all lol.
And no it's more difficult than that. I don't think religion is a dead end, Jesus is my Savior not my religion anyway. I classify my religion as Christianity, but really I walk by Faith. I'll agree that Religion is corrupt at times - full of laws which we're set free from. But, I quite enjoy my religion and my faith is very strong. I value that a lot. Yes, my disorder is a pain to deal with at times but I like when it does bring me closer to God. I won't be swayed on religion or on the love I have for my God. I'm not trying to be mean xD, I just really don't like talking about religion unless we're both on the same page is all. American College, lol. I love psychology a lot. I'd like to get into computer science, but really my math is horrible for that major. I used to admin with my friend an asylum rp over on tumblr haha it was a lot of fun to learn about disorders and what not. That'd be pretty cool, I'm not the best at writing to be honest. I was in a writing group in high school and got a reward for it but that's the extent that I have as far as writing goes. I get writers block horribly when writing novels. What do you enjoy writing about? |

Oh also about writing: I've been writing since I was ten, and I roleplay on tumblr which is a lot of writing there to in para forum. Me and my friend have practically co-wrote a book just from roleplaying lol. It's what I'd be going to college for, but you don't need a degree in Eng with a minor in CW to be an author, so I'm going to get my degree and money's worth in something else i'm interested in - Psychology.

Oh really? I love MBTI's, they're very accurate. I have another friend who is an INTJ as well. Then I have a friend who is an ISTP and another friend who is an INFJ like me. (All introverted people in my social group lol.)
I don't know Japanese fluently, but I've been learning for a long time - I can't read or write Hiragana, Katakana, or Kanji however, I've just learned to speak a lot of it and can read Romanji. And yes, I'm not the type to shove my belief onto other people, what everyone else picks is their choice. But, my faith is super strong and as I stated in the "pick two" forum I have a very high strung OCD that revolves around my Faith called Scrupulosity (just keep that in mind if we talk about religion xD) No, I'm moving in June so, I'm waiting to move then save up the money for a year and go to a college then for Psychology. [Probably should've done it easier I graduated 2 years ago a year early at that so I probably could've got into a decent one under a good scholarship lol. Okay this is long I'll shut up now.] |

I hate to break it to you but despite all your wise words that you use while arguing with someone you are still a child when it comes to handling a problem. You simply cant let it go and feel the need to prove yourself right.

By the gods, I watched the first episode of Date A Live. The most hideous thing I watched in years and a sleazy parody on Neon Genesis.
Of course and I will keep watching it, it will give me enough material to curse it in a review. |

Ikr. Sasuke's fights are very strategic, which is something I think is missed sometimes in Naruto's fights. In his, its more like he magically finds a new ability or something, and defeats his enemy. Sasuke is all about planning, and I think that's really awesome. Although, I tend to fangirl in both of their fights. XDD Especially when it gets all emotional :3 Like, with Hinata in the Pain fight, I was literally bawling haha :) But I cry easily, so maybe it's just me >.< did you cry, or were touched? (oh you're a guy though, you probably wouldn't cry hahaha xP)
I know, I was sooo disappointed too, that was why I started reading the manga. You don't need to start from the beginning (GOSH THAT WOULD BE HORRIBLE XD) Just try to find the manga chapter that corresponds with the episode the anime is on, and read from there :) I don't read much manga, but after reading for some time you get used to the style. One thing in the manga though, fights are soo much less epic. Because they just look like swishes and slashes on the page, it's hard to follow and I always look forward to the anime adaption to watch it come to life :) Yay, I'm happy you've decided to read the manga!! You will totally fanboy at the Sasuke scenes XDDD Mukyaaa, I love Joe Hisaishi! I play so many of his songs on the piano, it's not even funny lol. I watch way too many Studio Ghibli movies xP Especially Miyazaki's :) My favorite is either Totoro, Grave of the Fireflies.......omg I just can't pick. this is pointless XD I just love them all <333 Wow, I'm so happy you love music :) I love finding music nerds on MAL, it makes me feel like I'm not alone haha <3 That's awesome that you're playing keyboard!! I've been playing piano for about 7 years now, so it's like natural to me xD Do you have a teacher, or are you self-learning? :) And haha, karaoke isn't about skill :3 It's just to have fun haha <3 Yeah, that's also another reason I don't like manga very much. BGM is sooo important to me as well. There's this anime called Nodame Cantabile, I watched it recently. If you're like me, you will totally adore it, because I have. It's like in my favorites now. It's all about classical music, and if you're not acquainted with it, then the show really brings a lot of exposure to the classical music world. It's so funny, so heartwarming, so amazing, but the music is what makes it shine. :) See, the whole show is focused around music, and I can't understand how the manga portrays that xD Haha, we're so a like xD From Sasuke fangirl/boy to music to emotional to anime ratings... ahaha <3 this is great. What were you gonna mention about books? I'm an avid reader :) Although right now I haven't been able to read much with all the school reading assignments. And do you like videogames? That's another of my loves xP |
