I just read UQ Holder. I wasn't playing attention and didn't see it start or this club changing it's name.

I'm still betting on her being a woman raised as a man.
| 11-21-13, 2:34 PM
...Who knows what and how many implications has having a cursed body ^^;
| 11-18-13, 11:28 PM
...I believe the only ones disappointed are the fujoshi's...
On another note i was wondering how they would put together a "plot", and now i know :P MISSIONS! and...does this also mean that the...she doesn't have male or female parts (meaning flat chest and a smooth underside?)...cause that would be the only reason i could see her claiming she is a man...if she had neither parts...and since she has no breasts...yeah...i dono

UQ Holder 12:
So, does this mean, that... that... there will be no man romance? On second hand, I'm sure that there is not even a single person surprised. :D

But about girls and kisses, he told Asuna who was his most favorite girl (and in that moment he got -6 points in my opinion about him).
I'm not trying to make Negi the worst womanizer in history, I'm just wishing for a happy ending for each of girls. Seriously, except of Misora nad Natsumi, I like all of them, so why let have Chachamaru, Yue, Nodoko, Chisame, Konoka, Akira and few thousand of others let have broken heart?
It would be much more better if Negi decided to go into Momo (from To Love Ru Darkness) steps and create his own harem. After all he is natural born playboy, why not use it? And this way he also could be a proper English gentleman. Making every girl happy is the primary objective for every gentleman.
| 10-28-13, 2:37 PM
One of the problem is that Negi is a shounen's main character from a manga aimed at a younger audience. The editors wouldn't allow a manga that promote adultery especially not through it's main character.
That's why even though I think the idea is interesting, it isn't a realistic one.
Now as to why I believe that Negi wouldn't do that anyway:
-Negi has been raised as a proper gentleman since he was young and take pride in it. He might be pushed down by the first girl that make a move on him but he is also someone that is extremely responsible
-He never made a move on a girl, the girl were pushing themselves onto him (and even though both of us would be pleased by that situation, Negi wasn't).
-He had no interest in the kisses altogether. If he could have done the pactio in another way he would surely have chosen it. Still the only other way to establish a contract is through a blood pact and asking the girls to cut themselves when they are alright with a kiss is much worst.
Now you say that I try to defend Negi but actually everything is pointing toward Negi being a proper and honest man being able to take responsibility for his actions.
So I'll ask instead. You try to turn Negi into the worst womanizer in history, why so?
| 10-28-13, 6:41 AM
You know Shangetsu, You try to defend Negi, but he still stole lips of the girl in which his best friend is attracted to. Don't you think that he could end as pretty evil person, and sleep with more than one girl?
| 10-24-13, 3:43 PM
That was a very well thought out joke Erelen, I actually laughed at those situations ahaha
| 10-24-13, 10:34 AM
I don't believe that Negi did it with more than one girl.
He's someone that can take responsibility as well as being very thoughtful about such matters.
The moment he knocked one girl down he probably lived with her.

After deep thinking there is also other possibility for Negima pairing. Our hero chose Nodoka, after all she is cute, so why not? But I hope that everyone still remember Mahora Festival Arc? Honest Nodoka decided that it would be unfair to keep Negi for himself if her other friends love him, so she let Makie and Yue live together with them (small harem ending).
Negi was still traveling around the world helping other and visiting all of his partners. Once he ended in China and on the spur of the moment he ended doing it with Ku (from this patch we will have Chao grandchild). After this happened he was woeful, after all he cheated on Nodoka, Makie and Yue! What could our little (now not that little) Negi do? He went to the only person who could always help him, Chisame!
But Chisame was already over 30 years old, still unmarried and without child. She used her master (she already forced kiss on Negi once) and slept with him. Negi of course run away from her. But this was not the end of his miserable life (poor kid). When he arrived back to home he only found even bigger tragedy. Because of jealousy , Makie and Yue fought to the death. Nodoka couldn’t bear the tragedy that she has brought (the real Queen of Calamity) and hanged herself.
What was left for Negi to do then? Asuna was back at Magic World, Chiu-chan used him, there is no other person that could help him. Oh, wait a moment! There was one. Negi was really happy. Konoka Konoe, who always cared about him so much. When she was consoling him, they found a new love between them. After this they lived together, but Negi grieving for death of Nodoka, Yue and Makie, did not agreed to get remarried. So the kid that was born had a Konoe surname (parent of Touta).
But our Negi was not able to live happily after all. Konoka died after giving a birth. But Negi needed to be strong for his own child. He even survived long enough to meet his grandson. But after this he went back to Mahora, said goodbye to his master, and hanged himself in some remote area. That’s why his grave is not next to Konoka.

Given the graves we see in the first chapter, it was pretty clear that both Negi and Konoka kept their last names (assuming it's her child and not some relatives). Since the Konoe's seemed like a pretty old-fashioned family living in a pretty old-fashioned country, I doubt they'd let both keep their names just because they felt like it.

Konik you're not taking on account that Negi could have more than one child. This way one of his descendants made Touta, and second Chao. There is also a possible that Akamatsu got some courage and Negi had a kid with more than one woman (Nodoka was thinking about something like this at Mahora Festival Arc) - but this is mostly fanboy delusion.
| 10-23-13, 11:31 AM
First off it's not a fanboy delision, i have no interest in their partnership i prersonally prefer het, but it is stressed almost definitally besides the actual statement that they married, pretty much assumed that they are.
But the last case scenario is a completely viable scenario.
| 10-23-13, 9:10 AM
Well if Chao was really related to Negi it would be obvious that Touta is just Konoe, and isn't related to Negi. We might even get to see Chao or someone else related to Negi at some point of UQ Holder.
| 10-23-13, 9:05 AM
Setsuna and Konoka married the same year but it was never ever stated that they married together so for god's sake stop using your fanboy delusion as the basis for your arguments.
Now let's take things logically.
There are only three possible scenarios here:
-Negi and Konoka married. Their child married and had his/her name taken by his/her lover.
Usually the woman take the husband's name but with Negi and Konoka's status as great Minister Magi this might have been the other way around if they had a daughter.
Their child married and Touta was born.
This is extremely unlikely giving that Konoka is not buried near Negi. If they were lover and had married, they would have been buried next to each other.
-Second case scenario: Negi had a child with person X and Konoka had a child with person Y. Negi's child married Konoka's child and Touta was born.
Still we cannot affirm what is the gender of Negi's or Konoka's child because there's ton of reason why they'd take one name over another.
This is the most likely scenario if we consider the best case scenario for both family (Springfield and Konoe)
-Last case scenario: Negi is not biologically related to Touta. I do not know why people do not consider this possibility.
Basically the point here is that instead of actually being Touta's grand-father, Negi acted as a grand-father figure to him. They have no blood connection but they have a connection on it's own.
This would mean that Konoka married, had a child who had a child with someone else so Touta was born.
There's a lot of scenario that could make it plausible because we know nothing about present Konoka. She might have died early and Negi took care of his/her child and raised him/her as his own for all we knows.
There's no way to know but it's less straight-forward and the most mysterious way this could go. This is also why I think that Touta is actually not blood-related to Negi.

Donor? lol only real way i can think other than defiance of magic. And i dono, Springfield is a pretty big name as well :P not as influential but still big.
| 10-23-13, 5:49 AM
They probably got some sort of fertility magic that would help Konoka and Setsuna birth a child. And since Konoe is quite an influential name, it'd make sense that the name would persist regardless of marriage (because it's 100% guaranteed that it'd be a daughter unless the magic defies everything we know about genetics as well).
| 10-23-13, 5:31 AM
i'm practically 100% certain he didn't marry Konoka mainly because Konoka was the only visible lesbian in the series. And if it was her why would the artist make it so open as to the ending on who he liked, AND so open in this new series as who he married? In addition to how the ending of the Negima! series ended i can only assume it's someone Negi got alone EXTREMELY well with especially when seen by Asuna which means, yeah Chisame is a viable suspect but i feel so is Ku mainly for the fact that she taught him martial arts and trained under her so they were together a lot. But i feel those two are the most viable not for compatibility reasons but for reasons that Asuna went "OH I CAN TOTALLY SEE THAT NOW" which makes me think it's someone Negi spent a fuckload of time with. Nodoka is a suspect as well but i don't wana believe that cause i don't like her :P
As for the mother as i said i'm almost 100% certain it isn't her, it would be too much of a troll to go through all this effort hiding the spouse all for it to be a "oh, they just took Konoka's last name" So it would make more sense to make it another girl and have the only couple who is a lesbian in the series to be the other family.

I like Ku also (to be honest, it's hard not to like all girls from manga, even the bad ones), but I was trying to choose partners that would suits Negi the best.
Chisame is both serious, rational and hikikomori. She would always be next to Negi and Negi would be the only one believing in her no matter what. She is the ideal candidate to fill Negi character holes (like him worrying too much all the time), and he would help with her complexes.
The second one is Konoka. Of course after she got over Setsuna (even if I call her a lesbian monster I doubt that this is a real love towards her, more like really close sisters), she would also complemented his flaws.
The last one is Akira, and if not the fact that she is the secondary character, I would put her over Konoka and below Chisame. She is really similar to Chiu-chan in her positive sides, but she lacks the dark side that could make Negi want to save her. Still a great choose.
If we speak about Ku, Nodoka, Ayase, Kagurazaka, Chachamaru or Anya its hard to tell what kind of love it is.
It is also possible that he married Konoka, and his child took the surname after her family not his. But yea, personally I don't think that this is really possible.
