Yeah, it's an unfortunate thing with the HTML of the site going haywire. What's especially sad is that our huge list of manga relations is gone, too!Knowing this site, it might be a long, long time before it's fixed. I will try to post a new one-shot soon, though. |

Black Coffee (Emiko Nakano) and Flower Crown are two one shots not listed here. I liked Black Coffee but Flower Crown wasn't all that special. |

New one-shot of the week, thanks to an excellent recommendation by member zanac at the beginning of July.It's a one-shot by the talented and criminally overlooked manga author Tetsuya Toyoda about a low-key, but very interesting private detective search for an old man named "Mr. Bojangles". (A reference to a Sammie Davis Jr. song about a legendary black tap dancer of the 1930s) There's a tremendous sense of realism in both the relaxed demeanor of the events as well as the character interactions. It's one of the better one-shots I have read, in fact; I gave it a rare 7/10. |
