This'll be the first club I've joined, and I'm happy to say it's for one of my favorite anime Fooly Cooly. I'm just getting into the groove of things here after leaving my account sit for awhile, so without further adieu let me project a couple thoughts. I'm quite new to anime in general, but I was easily able to grasp the story behind Fooly Cooly. What the viewer comes to find out though is that this anime is not great because of its story.. oh no.. it's much better than that. FLCL was able to deliver a unique ride of pleasure and meaning to me that has yet to be met by anything else I've seen. The art is stunning, the music is prodigious, and the main characters are even deeper than portrayed. The exact meaning behind FLCL could be controversial, but I believe ones personal interpretation of it is what truly makes it a masterpiece in my eyes. I'm also going to pickup the gainax print for this as my first manga. Overall, Furi Kuri is something I'd recommend to everyone who enjoys anime; maybe even doesn't enjoy it. This is the kind of thing that can get someone into the vast universe we call anime. Hope I can get to know some of the club! - Bayrock |

About FLCL...Funny? Yes. Surrealistic? Of course. Insane? Sure. RANDOM? No way! This anime is one of its kind. Many ppl think Fooly Cooly is random and meaningless, but they just don't get it. The plot is not easy to understand(typical of GAINAX), cause everything moves at the speed of light and the story is full of symbolism and references. Not to mention the awesome design, the great animation, the special characters and the splendid music (by the Pillows). If you want to follow Flcl's storyline, you must be experienced anime-watcher. |

Ah, yes, FLCL. On my first day of registration I head straight for you. Always have been obsessed with this show. I can remember buying the dvd and watching it every single goddamn day one year. I literally wore that dvd out. Part of an episode no longer works. |

lucjy a friend had flcl, i watched it oveer 2 days. at first even after the end i was still like wtf i dont get it, but as with alot of shows a little time and forgetting stuff makes it make sense |

Really? I haven't heard of that happening to DVDs. Heard of it happening to tapes, but I realize DVDs don't last forever either. I know it's on blu-ray.When I first into it, I didn't buy it because it was on TV and I didn't want to watch it too much and lose my enjoyment of it . . . but SynchPoint went out of business. XD |

When I get really bored at night or something, or have no other animes to watch, I turn on FLCL and say, "I'll just watch ooooone episode..." Before I know it, I'm watching every episode... I've long since lost count of how many times I've seen it! |
