I always look at it this way: if it was a live action film, and could be judged by those standards, then it might fall into sub-sections of horror, of which there are many. Hellsing would probably fall into the catagory of a slasher flick. Jason, Myers, etc, aren't really scary, but still categorized as horror. Battle Royale I agree with, but Berserk, like Hellsing, has extreme main character that almost never meets his match, never really is backed in a corner, etc. Never meant to sound more irritated than I was, it has moreto do with the fact Hellsing is one of the main horror manga that people start with (it was technically my first), and it's also one of the easiest titles to find on the list in the US (besides Priest). You can walk into any Barnes and Nobel and you'll find it, something you can't say about the majority of the titles on the list. |
