The Japanese Ministry of Defense has an anti-paranormal special forces group called the Supernatural Disaster Prevention Agency. They're the ones responsible to protect Japanese soil and its people from supernatural and paranormal events. However, things didn't go so well in one of their missions, which leads to intervention by the Ministry of Enviroment's Supernatural Disaster Countermeasures Division after the SDPO has sustained large numbers of casualties battling demons.

OneManga description:
While many of us will probably scream at even the thought of a ghost being near us, Freshman Nimura Kensuke just thinks of it as a common everyday thing, seeing as how he has the uncanny ability to see so many of them on a daily basis. Things soon heat up for him when he meets a girl who changes his life from then on. Her name's Kagura, and she has the power to summon a mighty "spirit devourer"-otherwise known as a "Ga-rei"-called Byakuei. So, what's Nimura to do? Chase down the evil spirits and and have Kagura summon the Ga-rei to devour them, of course! Now, come feast on their adventures like some ravenous Ga-rei.

Ouch, so it looks like they aren't going to make a run at the anime ?

I could see it taking time, just how the ova was set up and how it contrasts with the actual manga. the fact that the characters are different and the perspective would run some fans off..But I don't see why they WOULDN'T animate the actual manga. They have a fan base, the show was rated high-there's a story to animate..

doesen't make sense =/

Lolno. Upscaled BD release and Figma were likely the last Hurrah for the anime. Right now all we're getting a lot of manga spinoffs, though.

I've read throuugh some things here, and I'm confused; is a second season going to be airing in the future ? It seems like one has to, but I'm still unsure.

I am so glad that Funi licensed Ga-Rei -Zero-! I will buying it with Blu-Ray version for sure!

If Colleen Clinkenbeard plays as Yomi I will buy the dvd box set of it when it's released.

I hope the new manga deals with the Tosken 7 (SP?)
