The Akira Club

Information
This is a shrine of sorts to all of the different works of Katsuhiro Otomo, without whom anime my have taken a different course and undoubtedly would not have been as popular. Let's face it, this man single-handedly brought anime to the forefront of pop-culture in America. Without Akira, no one would have taken this medium seriously.

Please be courteous. This is the only thing I ask. I'll let you interpret it as you want.

but it's still damn good. 10/10.
Yes it is. :)

Man. I couldn't find Domu anywhere, and I'm not all that optimistic about Kodansha reprinting it.

I ended up reading scanlations, though. Not as epic in scope as Akira was, but it's still damn good. 10/10.

I wouldn't mind at all having those Nausicaa editions too. ^^

Domu from Dark Horse also looks killer. Not as big as Akira versions but still a decent size to one behold Otomos art.

I feel dumb. I meant that I hope they do NOT change the page size. I love the over-sized edition. So I hope they keep the size, but whether it is flipped or not is not a huge concern.

So Nausicaa was the same size? Sweet! I have wanted to get a hold of at least one copy of the mnaga, but I haven't searched as hard as you Raven_Shinobi. Plus I want Man Machine Interface first.

Yep, I got to buy the first Dark horse Volume too. It was cool to see those american old edition being edited that big in those days. (It wasn't that much time ago, 6/7 years)

I have some other stuff in those big editions, like Mother sarah, ranma, Urusei...

It was cool, of course it was deceiving, and I do prefer the original reading order.

@tranceotaku

If you're referring to the Dark Horse edition, then yeah. I bought it when the DH edition was going OOP; I especially had trouble finding vol. 3 and ended up buying the volumes from different stores and even different countries. Totally worth the the effort and the money seeing as how mind-blowingly awesome Akira is.

As for the size of the pages, Nausicaa had the same problem, but I must say the size really alludes to how epic both series are XD

Welcome RobdeFR

@Raven_Shinobi Did you buy the first prints of the Akira manga? IF so I am still jealous regardless of the improvements of the reprints. With my luck they will reduce the size of the pages.
