When fans from the 80's, 90's, and the heydays of Cartoon Network had their first exposure to anime, it was like magic.
Once we delved ourselves into the innermost depths of anime fandom, we were exposed to its cold, hard realities.
The list of anime, manga, and characters defines who we are: a group of fans that have been with the medium since those times (and newer fans who long for a different experience).
The anime industry is guilty of relying too much on the hardcore otaku (and the shounen audience to a certain extent), and there's too much anime being produced with little worthwhile programming. The sad part is that we're feeling the aftereffects of its emission of deadly radioactive waves.
If you're tired of the over-enthusiasm/faux elitism of the fans or the repetitiveness of more recent anime, this club is for you. As long as you fall into these two categories, you'll easily be able to fit in here.
