To sum it up, Claim Clubs have become rampant. Will the mods stop it? No, they won't. So who will? We, the members will. This club is made up of the majority of the creators of the claim clubs on MAL. If you have a idea for a new claim club, it has to clear us first. Any member that joins a club we do not pass or approve of will have the option of either remaining in that club, or being banned from all other claim clubs that are members of the U.F.C.C. and have all their claims in those clubs revoked. Yes, I know this sounds harsh, but the problems with claim clubs have become so bad this is really the only option left.
We do this because there's no other choice. You search something up and there's like 3 versions of that very same claim club. Many people were upset their ideas were stolen and used by others. We're just trying to stop people from duplicating. If you have an original idea, it'll pass through no problem. We're not doing this because we want to control claiming, we only want to stop duplicate clubs.
Rules:
- Please don't open a claim club if it has not been approved by the U.F.C.C. If you do, it will either receive an automatic black list or a black list voting depending on whether it is original or not. You will be notified if your club is blacklisted.
- You must submit your ideas for clubs in
this thread. You may only submit 3 ideas per week.
- Once your idea goes into voting, it may take a while to pass. But PLEASE be patient. If you open your club idea while it is still in voting and not approved, it WILL receive an automatic black list.
- Claim clubs only allowing claims from a certain anime/manga or with a set eye/hair colour will not be approved.
- If your idea got denied, you are allowed to resubmit it with new rules.
- All members must follow these rules, including admins.
- Failure to abide to the rules listed may result in: Black listing, banning of membership, or other penalties.
Approval Vote Rules:
- The Approval Vote Topic is open for 6 days.
- During these 6 days, members vote only on the clubs, they think are duplicates.
- The only legitimate type of vote is 'No, duplicate, [name of the original club & link]'.
- Votes other than this will not be counted. The only exception is when the approved club is yet to be created, in that case please point to the approval vote thread instead.
- After 6 days an admin will count the votes against an idea, if it reaches the majority, the club will be denied. Curretly the votes are counted by Tsuruya-san.
- Clubs which haven't reached the majority will be approved.
- Step 2: A new thread will be opened to discuss the club idea for 6 days.
- Step 3: Idea is voted upon by all members, if the club is not found as a duplicate, it passes.
- At least 15 Claims (This number might change, but it's so that we know it's users who have experience with claiming and not just people who want to claim more)
