If I understand correctly this club is against throwing around the word emo. Then why are all of these characters and shows being categorized as emo?

In my opinion emo is nothing but a clothing style, and even that is questionable because it's really just a watered down version of goth. It has nothing to do with teen angst or depression, and the way it's thrown around by people trivializes those kind of emotions, as if it's something horribly wrong.

Hiya guys....I'm new here. Can you add Toradora! in the EMO category. I've never seen so many angsty teens since I saw Dawson's Creeks third season. All of them are going through drama over "love".

People who say things like that are probably trying to make the character look bad. It's okay if you don't like a character, but to claim that someone is emo without reasons is stupid.
