WELCOME TO THE MARIMITE FANCLUB

Maria-sama ga Miteru's story revolves around the students of the Lillian Catholic school for girls, and can be considered character-driven, focusing on interactions between the characters rather than any sort of ongoing plot or goal to attain. At Lillian Girls' School, there is a tradition known as the sœur system (sœur being French for "sister"), in which a second, or third-year student, the grande sœur ("big sister"), will give her rosary to a junior student, the petite sœur ("little sister"), and promise to look after them and guide them (wikipedia).

Baka-Tsuki has some of the novels translated (& other light novels), but the whole series has not been translated yet.

Baka-Updates has it listed as complete at 8 volumes. Further, Lililicious' scanlation is at chapter 33 of volume 5 .

I want a fifth season. I was definitely not satisfied with the ending of the fourth. After all, Touko and Yumi needs to continue with their relationship as soeurs after she said yes. I also want to see how SachikoxYumi's relationship develop as she's going to the sister college. I definitely agree with you though TimeChaser :P Sixth season would be lovely also, and maybe through in a seventh or eighth for the hell of it :]

As long as they make a fifth season, I'll be happy. ^^

Considering the point where the fourth season ended, I would assume another OVA season would probably cover Sachiko and Rei's graduation. If that were the case, I would also hope for a sixth season because I want to see Yumi and Yoshino in their role as the next Roses along with Shimako.

Guess we won't know until something official is announced.
