Hello! Project (ハロー!プロジェクト) is a Japanese idol project, the umbrella name for a collective of female singers who are under contract with the Up-Front Group and whose recordings are produced by Tsunku. The Hello Project acts are under contract with the UP-FRONT GROUP Co., Ltd., and managed by UP-FRONT PROMOTION. Location : Tokyo, Japan. Established : 1998. www.helloproject.com

The current H!P line-up:
MORNING MUSUME

Morning Musume (モーニング娘), are the lead group of Hello! Project. The group's name can be translated as "Morning Girls" or "Morning Daughters".  Currently there are 11 members. They are one of the most successful Japanese pop idol girl groups. In recent years, the group has been making a concerted attempt to break into new markets in Asia, Europe and the US, performing at expos worldwide.

Berryz Kobo

Berryz Kobo (literally "Berryz Workshop") are a Japanese idol girl group and part of Hello! Project.
The group was formed in 2004, and are currently on hiatus. Berryz Kobo have kept all of their original members (with no new members added) for their full career. There are currently 7 members.

°C-ute

Cute, stylized as ℃-ute (キュート), is a Japanese idol girl group, consisting of five members. Cute is part of Hello! Project, produced by Tsunku, who also writes almost all the group's songs.

Cute made its major debut in 2007 and that year won the Japan Record Award for Best New Artist. In 2008, the group was nominated for the main Japan Record Award, the Grand Prix, its song being named one of the year's best songs. http://www.helloproject.com/c-ute/

Buono!

Buono! (ボーノ) is a Hello! Project unit consisting of three members: Momoko Tsugunaga and Miyabi Natsuyaki from Berryz Koubou, and Airi Suzuki from Cute. The name translates into "good!" (from Italian), but in Japan has come to connote an association with food, as in "delicious."

Juice=Juice

Juice=Juice, pronounced "Juice Juice", is a 5-member Japanese girl group, formed in 2013. Website - www.helloproject.com/juicejuice

Hello! Pro Kenshuusei (a group of trainees who aim to debut)

Hello Pro Kenshuusei (ハロプロ研修生; Hello Pro Trainee) is a collection of young girls selected through auditions, or added specially by Tsunku, that are receiving dance and vocal lessons in the hopes that they will one day be able to debut as full idols within Hello! Project.

Not yet being full members within Hello! Project, the girls mainly perform at Hello! Project concerts as back-up dancers for the major acts. The Kenshuusei also hold their own concerts and have their own songs.
