However- all of that being said- I suppose I could look at the statement this way as well:
Coal; when it's old and weathered enough, turns into diamonds.
Therefore you might have meant that.... I suppose, anyway.... that is looking on it in a optimistic way I think.... though when dealing with people on the net I tend to use the honest and serious approach most; Meaning I assume someone is not joking at first.

Well yeah possibly- I've had a lot going on, so if your not on my friends list *Goes and checks* Nope- your not on my list.... or if I don't see you around MAL often..... Or if -(I checked when looking to see if you were on my list)- you don't happen to have much on your profile that is remember-able then I would forget you.
That is quite possible.

I can't be expected to remember every person I speak to on MAL -(I remember Susan and a few others here because their names are interesting and/or unique-(And Susan's my mother's and my middle name)- or like the name of someone I personally know)- while your name is unique- and I remember seeing it here from time to time, I don't remember ever having talked to you at any length that would cause me to remember you.

So Sorry- but nope, I don't remember talking to you, nor am I able to find any com-to-com comments between us.
The upshot is, I don't know you well enough (As far as I can tell) to be able to tell if your joking or insulting me on line.... which is why I assumed you were insulting me.... as being called an "old chunk o' coal" isn't a phrase I'm familiar with- nor is it something most people would like to be called either >_>
