The Debate/Argument Club

<em>Welcome to the club, where the personalities of MAL battle it out with their logic and wits, where you can find out who is the best debater on the site, or if you feel up to it, see if you can challenge them to become the biggest fish in the pond called MAL. Do not take the challenge lightly, sign up only if you believe you can hold your own against the odds, if you have the potential to rise to the top. If you wish to take part in this unpleasant competition that will drain your being, apply with a message as to why you should be taking part in this battle, make your case well, for there is no time wasted on those who cannot put up a fight.</em> Contrary to expectations, this is not just a ground to holler at one another, this is a place to properly debate in a regulated fashion. Nor is this a place devoid of fun, we aim to be a friendly community where we can joke and make prop bets with one another over the results of our enthusiastic debates. <u>Information on the debates themselves</u> There are three formats for the debates. First is the big knock out competition where we try to find the best debater on MAL at the moment, which will be held infrequently. More commonly informal debates or arguments that start between two members on the forum or in the club can be brought here as formal debating duels. Lastly, we can have group discussions on the club forum which is limited to members where everything goes. Formal one on one debates will be judged by the remaining club members who are expected to me impartial and objective. This will take place via a private poll exclusive to our club members. For this is a sophisticated, fun club, but most importantly; it is a club where we can actually defeat each other one on one, be ranked for it, and receive prizes or penalties accordingly.
