If you haven't seen Gurren Lagann you can give that a try. Up to date it's probably my favorite anime yet.

Still watching Fullmetal, only 8 more episodes and I'll be done. The pace has picked up but ultimately I'm still pretty sure I'll like the manga more.

All I really remember was that the main girl couldn't use her weapon or something like that and the white haired person was in some random dungeon-esque room thinking about her and someone was trying to persuade him to do something I have no idea of.
