The avatar cycle has gone full circle since Aang saved the world from Phoenix King Ozai's wrath. The current avatar suddenly entered the avatar state and left the air temple (s)he took residence at, traveling around the world and talking to the ruler of each nation. (S)he told them the spirits of fire, water, earth, and air were fighting, and that if a spirit died so would all of its children. In other words, if the Water Spirit died, so would every man or woman able to waterbend. When each ruler asked what they could do to stop the fighting, (s)he mercilessly told them it could not be done and the Earth Spirit would win at the end of summer because the Earth Kingdom covered the highest percentage of the land. Finally, the avatar returned to the air temple (s)he was born in and left the avatar state, only to be filled in about all that had happened after (s)he left. Every nation had declared war on the others and fought to gain control of most of the world, in order to save everyone they cared about.
What part do you play?:
In this rp you can take possesion of any roll you choose, from Fire Lord, to a lowly spear-wielding foot solider, to an unaware bender like the swamp dwellers, though you won't get much action that way. The lower rank you are the more battles you can fight in, the higher rank you hold the more say you have in military and political affairs. If a wandering bender with no loyalties chose to he could participate in every battle for no reason. The ruler of each nation must decide when and where to attack and can control all actions that involve his nation, like making a treaty. Admirals, Generals, and other high ranking officers may only fight when the base they control is attacked, but control operations of defense if the ruler is not on or doesn't want to and have the right to declare an attack if they were given license to by their ruler. Lower ranked soldiers are positioned by the higher ups, but they can always ask their commander to be featured in a certain battle. They fight the opposite nation to defend or take a territory.
