After a battle with demon-like beasts, he then takes her to another world along with two of her classmates. There, her appearance has changed and she can understand the language even though her classmates cannot. But their status as "Kaikyaku" (people who come from Earth) makes them hunted fugitives, so they wander the land of the 12 countries, simply trying to survive and to figure out the reason why they were brought to this world. He seems gruff and unapproachable, but actually is most loyal & sincere toward Yoko. <img src="http://img843.imageshack.us/img843/4889/profil3aozaru.png" border="0" /> Aozaru: The mysterious being, visible only to Yoko, follows her during her travels until she realizes her powers and fulfills her destiny. In truth, the creature is a spiritually manifestation of Yoko's own negative attitude(Heart) and feeling of uncertainty. <img src="http://img836.imageshack.us/img836/5365/profil4yukasugimoto.png" border="0" /> Yuka Sugimoto: Yoko classmate loves fantasy and is delighted to join her friend in the world of the twelve kingdoms, where she seeks perilous refuge. But brainwashed by the king of kou, she turns against Yoko, blindly seeing her as an "evil foreigner" from the "real" world. <img src="http://img840.imageshack.us/img840/7172/profil5ikuyaasano.png" border="0" /> Ikuya Asano: He has known Yoko since they were little, but after entering the world of the Twelve Kingdoms, his loyalties are split between her and her new " enemy", Yuka. His boundless energy serves to mask his deep-set apathy, but he eventually realizes that he, too, must choose his path in life. <img src="http://img837.imageshack.us/img837/6764/profil6rakushun.png" border="0" /> Rakushun: He is a "Hanju" (Half beast) with gray-brown fur, pink hands and black eyes. He can also transform into a human. However, Rokuta has an unexpectedly proficient moral of life. Like Yoko & Shoryu, he once was a "taika", born in japan. But in the land of the Twelve Kingdom, he becomes the "kirin" of En, and is the one who Chooses Shoryu as King. <img src="http://img833.imageshack.us/img833/2234/profil8shoryu.png" border="0" /> Shoryu: 500 years ago, during Japan's age of civil wars, he was a pirate in the island sea. Now the earth-born taika is the beloved ruler of En, the most peaceful land of Twelve Kingdom.
