Mecha - trash or paperweight?

Just that nobody misunderstands: This is a Anti-Mecha Club. ;-)

Its not like we completely hate mecha, there are few that are good too, but most of them are just annoying and look like huge trash cans, running wild and destroying thousands of square kilometers while fighting other huge trash cans.

Mecha have gone from looking more rounded and organic like the original Tetsujin 28, to looking like ancient samurai armor in Gundam, Zone of enders, ect., and seem to be heading back down the organic rout with titles like GunXSword and Evangelion. I don;t know about you, but it seems the less the giant robot looks like a robot, the cooler it ends up being.
