ok we have different though on it. he would hunt for kira because it was some one doing something that interested he said that he only takes cases the interest him so it proves that it had nothing to do with the crimes just that kira was doing something he didn't think possible and he wanted to know how he did it. he did care it was just not a normal feeling he cared on a mental levle he seen this guy who was on par with him the greatest detective in the world.

yeah,maybe but Light whould kill him anyway cuz he kills all criminals,and L cares for human lifes !!! Why whould he hunt Kira???? He fights for the lifes of this criminals ,why whould he risk his life if he whouldnt care????

he used a criminal to draw out light, just look at it he could care lesss of human lifes it was all just a game a puzzle to him
