 Evanescence is a band that currently consists of Amy Lee (vocals), Terry Balsamo (guitar), and Tim McCord (bass). Previous members include William Boyd (bass, backing vocals), Rocky Gray (drums), David Hodges (piano, keyboard, backing vocals), John LeCompt (guitar), and Ben Moody (guitar, drums, percussion, keyboard, bass). The band was founded in 1998 by Amy Lee and Ben Moody before signing with Wind-Up in 2003. We proudly support   March 1st, 2010 After much anticipation, Evanescence front woman, Amy Lee confirmed today that Evanescence is in fact going into the studio this week to work on their third studio album with Grammy Award Winning producer Steve Lillywhite. The band's new album is scheduled for a late Fall 2010 release date. ---- Evanescence.com September 12th, 2007 Both the official music video of "Good Enough" and a "Making Of Good Enough" was released yesterday. September 6th, 2007 "MTV will premiere the new video for "Good Enough" on TRL Monday September 10th and Amy Lee will be there to make the introduction! Tune in to check it out, or see below for TRL ticket info. "Good Enough" will also be featured as an "Unleashed" premiere on MTV2 Monday, September 10th. Any fans who would like to come to TRL on Monday, September 10th must be available to be at the MTV studios in Times Square (45th and Broadway) at 1:30pm. It was leaked onto the internet from an unknown source, but it still has the time-stamps and missing various CG effects. This video can be found here (This link has been removed by Wind-Up Records). May 23th, 2007 Evanescence.com has a slightly different look to their webpage, changing the previous frames look but keeping the overall design. Check it out~ May 17th, 2007 The Open Door, Evanescence (Wind-up Records) welcomes drummer Will Hunt and guitarist Troy McLawhorn - both from Dark New Day (Warner Bros. Records) - to the band this week. "I am a big fan of Dark New Day and can't wait for the fans to see what the guys bring to our live show," says front woman Amy Lee. Evanescence will debut their new formation on Saturday, May 19th at Columbus' sold out Rock On the Range Festival. May 14th, 2007 The track entitled "Good Enough" from the latest CD, The Open Door, has been rumored as the next single to be released off the album with filming for the music video due in June. May 6th, 2007 Recently, Rocky Gray and John LeCompt have been removed from the band. This has been confirmed not only from their separate MySpace pages, but Amy Lee issued a statement on the Evanescence homepage as follows: Evanescence is alive and well. John and Rocky were in Evanescence for four years and we shared some great times together playing live, but they were ready to move on and so we have parted ways. Evanescence is something I have loved and nurtured since I was fourteen, and I will continue to protect and fight for it as I always have. Terry, Tim and I are very excited to play live with some amazing new musicians and we will rock harder than ever. Stay tuned for more news on that front. And don't worry about the tour, guys.
