Coming up in June in Chicagoland, June 26 - June 27 Japan Festival 2010 http://www.japanfest-chicago.org/ . Arlington Heights, 2121 S. Goebbert Rd., Forest View Educational Center during both day martial arts demostrations, koto and taiko concerts, films, kids activities, ikebana, etc. For your information, the location is about one block east of Mitsuwa Marketplace. If your asking, it's FREE.

Free convention and yes it's free. Next Saturday, January 30, 2010, UChiCon, University's Harper builing will the host site for the convention. http://jas.uchicago.edu/uchi-con/index.html. It will be starting around 11.00 and continuing through rest of the day. Through the day there will be anime episode viewings, Miyazaki film showings, cosplay, artist's alley, discussion sessions conerning fandom, conventions, etc. The convention's special guest is Crispin Freeman U.S. voice actor.
