Welcome to the finest Sonic the Hedgehog fanclub! Just to specify, this is a fanclub for the character, NOT the games. Although the games are awesome too. <3 About Sonic Age: 15 (games, anime) 17 (Archie comics) Occupation: Adventurer Alignment: Hero Sonic the Hedgehog, nicknamed the "Blue Blur," is well-known for his speed which is called "second to none." He made his first apperance in the game "Sonic the Hedgehog" for the Sega Genesis in 1991. Though he enjoys lazing around and simply enjoying himself, most of the games focus on the main antagonist Dr. Robotnik attempting to take over the world, only to be stopped by Sonic and occasionally several of his friends everytime. His best friend is Miles Prower, more commonly called Tails. Acting as somewhat of a sidekick and slowly maturing into more of a partner as the games go on, the young fox has a knack for inventing things and other machinery. Lots of times he'll also team up with Knuckles the Echidna, guardian of the Master Emerald. He's been called his rival on several occasions and the two get along well (most of the time). Sonic is prideful and hates to be constrained, enjoying freedom and doing things at his own pace (which is always incredibly fast). Though he is cocky and rather impatient, he is someone who would never turn their back on a friend in need or to protect the greater good (as seen in the Sonic comics and probably some other time I can't remember, he performs actions which almost resulted in his death to protect the world). History

Spoilers ahead! The first couple of games (namely Sonic 1 and Sonic 2) had no real plot. "Eggman is bad, you're Sonic the Hedgehog, beat him up." So yeah. It was in Sonic CD where some story happened, yay. Sonic, with Amy tagging along, goes to see Little Planet, a small planet which appears out of Never Lake once a year. It completely ignores the passage of time because of the seven Time Stones on it. When it emerges, it is covered in Eggman's machinery. Sonic goes to stop it, Amy getting kidnapped by Metal Sonic on the way. At the end of that game, when Sonic has gotten to the core of Eggman's base, the scientist shoots a death laser at Sonic. Beating Metal Sonic in a race, he pushes the robot into it, causing him to be destroyed. Sonic escapes with Amy, happy end. Skipping over a couple of games with no real relevant plot (Sonic Spinball + Sonic Chaos + Sonic Drift), Sonic 3 occurred immediately after Sonic 2, despite Sonic CD, Spinball, Drift, and Chaos being released before it. It begins with the Death Egg, Robotnik's Space Fortress which Sonic and Tails had destroyed in Sonic 2, plummets into Angel Island, a floating land mass above Earth. Eggman here meets Knuckles, guardian of the island and the Master Emerald. He tricks Knuckles into thinking Sonic and Tails are going to steal his emerald, and Knuckles agrees to help him. He ambushes Sonic and Tails, stealing the Chaos Emeralds. At the end of the game, Sonic and Tails succeed in stopping Eggman before he can fix the Death Egg. The next game with a tangible plot would be Sonic and Knuckles, happening right after Sonic 3. Knuckles realized that Eggman was lying to him and teams up with Sonic. They then beat up Eggman. That was that game. Nothing really happened in the rest of the games until the sixth generation of gaming. In Sonic Labyrinth, Sonic Fighters, Sonic Blast, Sonic 3D Blast, and Sonic R, you're either beating up Eggman for some reason or collecting the Chaos Emeralds or racing. Or a combination of those three. Onto the good stuff! In Sonic Adventure, first game released in the 6th generation for Sega's Dreamcast system, Eggman has broken the Master Emerald into pieces. This releases the ancient monster Chaos, who powers up everytime he collects a Chaos Emerald. Eggman plans to use him to take over the world. Despite attempts made by Sonic and his friends, Eggman succeeds. However, Chaos quickly tosses Eggman aside and plans to take the whole world into ruin due to his grief and despair of being trapped for so many years. After draining the negative power of the Chaos Emeralds, he tosses them aside. Sonic takes them and uses the remaining positive power and energy to transform into Super Sonic and take down Chaos, re-sealing him into the Master Emerald. However, Chaos is now placid and happy as he is reunited with the girl who was his friend and the Chao he protected. Pulling the first two Sonic Advance games together which had no real plot, you are Sonic and sometimes one of his friends, you beat up Eggman, etc., end of story. In Sonic Advance 3, Eggman uses Chaos Control to split the Earth in two. Sonic and Tails are on one side and Knuckles, Amy, and Cream are on the other. Going through many levels they find the source of trouble and put the Earth back together, yay. Moving onto -- SONIC ADVENTURE 2 FUCK YES!! Errm, ahem. My all-time favorite Sonic game. In the beginning of this game, the military, G.U.N., has captured Sonic, thinking he is the criminal in the recent Chaos Emerald theft. Sonic escapes from their grasp, and figures out that the real thief is Shadow the Hedgehog, an anti-hero who was an experiment to create the ultimate life form aboard the space colony ARK. Mastering the power of Chaos Control, the power to warp with a Chaos Emerald, Shadow escapes from the military again and Sonic captured once more and sent to an island G.U.N. base where he is saved by Amy and Tails. He escapes from the island before it explodes, and afterwards finds out with his friends that Eggman is on ARK and plans to gather the Chaos Emeralds to use the Eclipse Cannon and take over the world. Tails, Knuckles, and Amy, launch an invasion on Eggman's desert base in an attempt to chase him in the ARK, which they succeed in. Their plan is to use a cloned Chaos Emerald, which Tails created, to stop the cannon. It has the same look and properties but is not as powerful. However, it would be able to stop the cannon if put in. However, they are interrupted when Eggman holds Amy hostage. He demands Sonic hand over the Chaos Emerald he has in exchange for Amy's life. Sonic agrees, thinking to trick Eggman with the fake Emerald. However, Eggman imprisons Sonic in a capsule and laughs that they think they could trick him. Tails questions how he knew it was fake, to which Eggman responds "Because you just told me, fox boy!" He proceeds to launch Sonic into space, letting the capsule explode once it clears the colony. Tails and Amy presume him to be dead and are at a loss what to do now. BUT! Sonic was able to use the Chaos Control at the last moment and warp back to the colony. Found by Knuckles and out of energy, he realized he has very little time until the Eclipse cannon fires. In a final rush, he confronts Shadow in a final fight and stops the cannon. Now, that's the ending of the "hero" story. In actuality, a fail-safe plan initiates after, put in place by Eggman's grandfather, another genius scientist by the name of Gerald Robotnik (who also created Shadow). This causes the colony to start to hurl at Earth at a great speed, as Gerald Robotnik went insane when G.U.N. shot his granddaughter, Maria, to death when they shut down the space colony. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Eggman and Rouge all team up in an attempt to stop the colony. Amy attempts to coerce Shadow into helping them. While he talks to her, he remembers his final promise to Maria when she saved his life -- that he would give the people of Earth a chance to be happy and protect them. Remembering that, he goes to help the others. Confronting the Biolizard, the prototype of the ultimate life form also created by Gerald Robotnik, he gives Sonic and Knuckles time to put the Master Emerald in place and neutralize the Chaos Emeralds. However, it's not over yet. The Biolizard syncs himself with the space colony, determined to drive it into Earth. In a final epic showdown, Sonic and Shadow use the Emeralds to transform into Super Sonic and Super Shadow and put an end to the prototype of ultimate life, and the colony circles the Earth peacefully again. Sonic Battle, a Sonic fighting game for the GBA, had somewhat of a complete plot. 4,000 years ago, an ancient civilization created the "Gizoid," a living weapon, lost when the civilization dies out. Now in modern day time, Eggman finds it. However, it refuses to obey him, so he makes many copies of it and then literally dumps it -- only to be found by Sonic. He and Tails figure it runs on Chaos Emeralds. They nickname it Emerl and teach it to fight, and he becomes attached to Sonic. Once Eggman hears of this, he makes attempts to get Emerl back. Other characters spend time with Emerl -- Rouge wants to train it into a master thief, Amy wants to use him to practice when she has kids with Sonic (o_O), and Shadow wants to destroy it before it goes crazy from power and attempts to take over the world. He was right, of course, and Emerl goes crazy and Sonic has to kill him, the end In the next game, Sonic Heroes, Sonic is given a letter from Tails from Eggman which says he will take over the Earth in three days and dares them to stop him. After reaching his base, they encounter Metal Sonic who makes a return. He copies the data of Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles and then takes off. The trio manages to get to Eggman's "Egg Fleet" of ships, destroying several of them. However, in the main tower of the "Final Fortress" ship, Metal Sonic appears and incinerates the tower in a bolt of lightning. Everybody teams up to stop him, as Eggman explains he's nearly invincible due to copying everyone's data, and their only hope could be the seven Chaos Emeralds. Each team has managed to gather them all in total and use them to fight this new form of Metal Sonic, "Metal Madness." Everyone weakens him save for Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles, who take time to transform into their Super forms. After being weakened, he collects more debris and becomes "Metal Overlord." Team Super Sonic defeats him and he reverts back to the original Metal Sonic. Not before asking for a rematch, Sonic and everyone else dashes off, and that game there ends. The next game, Sonic Rush, didn't have that much of a storyline. Basically, Eggman has discovered an alternate universe and stolen the equivalent of the Chaos Emeralds, the Sol Emeralds (though they are slightly weaker). He teams up with his counterpart from this universe, Eggman Nega, to bring the Chaos and Sol Emeralds together and be SUPAH POWERFUL. Blaze the Cat, someone also from this alternate universe, teams up with Sonic to stop them, and then the Sol Emeralds, Eggman Nega, and Blaze all go back to their own universe, happy end. Sonic had a supporting role in Shadow the Hedgehog, helping Shadow kill many of the black arms and actually helping him defeat Black Doom, their boss, in the best ending. In Sonic Riders, he was one of the speed-type characters. He, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and the newly-introduced Jet, Wave, and Storm of Babylon Rogue all enter Eggman's EX World Grand Prix, an Extreme Gear race. Jet wins via cheating and goes to an ancient Babylon temple and releases a monster and Eggman steals the treasure and blah blah blah Sonic and co. defeat him and blah blah and become friendly rivals with the Babylon Rogues etc. Yeah, there's some detail in that plot, but not enough to warrant me explaining. And I'm not going to bother explaining his history in the Sonic the Hedgehog 06 since that game's plot was complete and utter bullshit. I mean that in all terms. A) It sucked, and B) it NEVER FUCKING HAPPENED. No, really, it didn't. At the end of the game they go back in time and none of this crap happened. I'm serious. Screw that. Sonic & The Secret Rings... uh, basically, Sonic is pulled into this story of Arabia and has to stop and evil genie, yup. TBH I never played Sonic Rivals or Sonic Unleashed. BUT I did play Sonic and the Black Knight. In this, Sonic is sucked into the Athurian Legends after being summoned by Merlina, a wizard (granddaughter of Merlin). She summoned someone "as swift as the wind" to stop King Arthur who has gone mad with power. So Sonic gets the legendary sword Caliburn and stops him -- but then it turns out MERLINA was evil, so he ends up stopping her and stuff. ...Yeah, there was more detail to it than that but I don't feel like explaining. So here ends this fucking long ramble on Sonic's history. God, why did I do this to myself.
Club Graphics
